George Soros Says the Worst of the Global Crisis ‘Is Behind Us’

Share | Email | Print | A A A

By Christopher Wellisz

June 21 (Bloomberg) -- Billionaire hedge fund manager George Soros

“Definitely, the worst is behind us,” Hungarian-born Soros said in an interview

He called the crisis the most serious in his lifetime, adding, “This is the end of an era. The question is what’s going to come out of it in the future.”

Without new international regulations, “globalization will fall apart,” possibly spawning a system of “state capitalism” like the one that exists in China, he said.

Soros, who recently returned from China, said the world’s third-largest economy is “growing in strength” because the country was relatively unaffected by the crisis.

From OCBC:

Midas Holding: Wins another RMB172m in contracts

Midas Holdings has secured two additional contracts worth RMB172m, to

supply aluminium alloy extrusion profiles for a total of 480 train cars for

inter-city high-speed train projects with speeds up to 350km/h. Both

contracts were awarded by CNR Tangshan Railway Vehicles, a repeat

customer of the Group. On top of the original 1,600 train cars that Midas

has already been contracted to supply for the "CRH3-380" project as

announced on 16 June 09, this latest contract brings the total number of

train sets Midas is supplying for this project to a total of 120 train sets, or

1,920 train cars. These contracts are expected to have a positive financial

impact on its financial position. Maintain BUY rating and fair value of S$0.85.

Let me remind u there is a freedom of speech n freedom of reply, I m entitiled to my right to reply to any post, so since u post, I too have the right to reply as I too stating my point of view.

Let me remind u, b4 pointing your 1st fingers accusing others as immature, remind yourself tat the other 3 fingers are pointing back to yourself tat actually u are the immatuire person... hahahah....

If u consider me stating my point of view as immature, then I too think tat your posting as immature.

Likewise, just as think u see me " buay song", tit for tat, I too see u "lagi buay song".

Since u do onto me, so I do onto u hahahaha......

U r trying to "cover your asshole" when u are actually attacking me with this post, yet got the nerve to say it is not a personal attack, likewise, this is not a personal attack on u, hahahaha.....

Your this post just shows tat u behave this way with a personal attck on me bcos u had an unhappy axe to grind with me, plain simple n clear.. let all forumers trace back the past squabbles u had with me n let them be the judge, frankly I had aredi forgotten n forgiven u for the past issues but u are opening your old wounds for all to see.

ridiculous... newtothis was simply just stating his point of view from what he has gathered. frankly there is no need to reply with "doesn't bother me a single little bit" - that's so immatured for someone with so much experience! i would imagined another round of "serious discussion" by richtan if someone were to post a similar type of reply to his chart.

like what richtan said in his previous post - do unto others what you want others to do unto you.

*this is not a personal attack, just that i see already quite "buay song" as whatever anyone said against what richtan thinks, he always behave this way.

It really doesn't bother me a single little bit whether BB want him down or not, I stick to my trade plan, on a closing below 15, I will exit n take profit the next trading day (no regrets even if it goes up later) n may or may not come back again even if there is any buy sign depending on whether I found any other counters with buy sign prior to the buy sign from this counter (1st come 1st enter)

I believe those sellers are those being force-sell for their trade done on Monday between 0.16 to 0.18.

IMO, I think once these forced selling is over n those profit-taking by those who had bot at lower levels are finished, it should start to move up.

This is just my opinion, I might be wrong or right, not an inducement to buy, sell or hold. Dyodd
