You may ask yourself the following questions on your Genting Singapore or Genting HK stock trading:
- Are you buying the stock at high or low? What is your trading rules? Buy Low Sell High, or Buy High Sell Higher?
- Are you listening to other “experts” or reading the analyst reports to make your BUY decision? Do you know those experts already set the whole thing up (they have already bought the shares long long time ago) and waiting for you to push the share price up so that they can sell high and make all the profit?
- Do you know that Genting is still losing money as a whole?
- Do you know how long Genting will take to finally breakeven their original investment?
- Why the President & COO of Genting Singapore selling his shares recently, if everything is so rosy?
- Did you see everyone is chasing the stock and cause the stock chart pattern become a parabolic curve?
- Do you know what will happen next after the parabolic curve chart pattern?
- You only hear people boosting how much money they make on Genting, do you know how many peoples out there losing money but they keep quiet? Stock market is ZERO SUM game, someone makes the money from someone lose. Most of the cases, professional traders make tons of money from the retail investors like you and me.
- Do you know how frequent the analysts change BUY/SELL/HOLD recommendation and target price in just these few months? The Genting business model and fundamental cannot change in overnight but the analyst recommendation and target price changes just in a split of seconds. They modified their assumptions and change target price to justify their assumption. Do you know what does the “assumptions” mean? Assumption means “Using Personal Opinion with some numbers”. You can become your own analyst too if you know how to make assumptions.
- What mentality you have when you buy these stocks? Are you telling yourself “I sure make money because Genting will go up to $3.00 because X analysts said that”, or asking yourself “When should I cut loss if Genting falls?” Will the result be different when you change your mindset and the way you ask the questions to yourself? You need to know that there are two different mindsets in stock trading, ie. defensive and offensive.
I thot so, they will have to pay off their debt to bankers / lenders. No dividend to collect for next few years, so players have to sort of collect from the mkt. (some win, some loss)

10 BLACK CANDLES

GENTING SP
Indicators point to $1.83-85 as key support amid urgent need for quick bounce to restore confidence after stock makes biggest correction since breakout from $1.30-35
Price : SP $1.83-85, $1.75 TP $1.95-99, $2-$2.02 Najeeb Jarhom 6236-2816 najeeb@amfraser.com.sg Due to its spectacular 65% surge from old $1.32 high to $2.18, traders find it harder to read Genting’s price trends following the near 15% plunge to $1.86 today. Although the stock is grossly oversold with 3-day RSI near record low of 7-8 this morning, bearish momentum, MACD and other signals make traders wary of the rebound potential following the almost continuous 8-day slide from record $2.18. As it has hardly consolidated during the 5-6 week blistering run-up from $1.30-35 after National Day, chances of a quick bounce after this correction is over, appear better than a lengthy consolidation. There has been only one short base building around $1.75-85 earlier this month which so far has not been tested. As traders grope for support levels, the mid-bollinger band at $1.83-84 which has not been touched since end-May recovery back to $1, together with retracement measures as well as still rising 30-day SMA (also at $1.83-84), offer some indication. The 10 day SMA ($2.03) has turned down while 20 days ($1.95) is poised to do so unless the counter reverses quickly to avoid a potential bearish cut. Various measures of trend channels from the old $1.32 high and earlier base-building phase early this year (see chart) point to the higher end of $1.75-85 as providing good support. Measuring the retracement of the total gains from $1.32 to $2.18, points to $1.85 as the Fibonacci 38.2% support with the mid-point at $1.75, coinciding with the earlier mentioned base. Within this area, a significant high before $2 and $2.18 was $1.83 and before this high was $1.68. There was a 12% correction after $1.68 to $1.48. Taking the 38% retracement of the rally from $1.68 to $2.18 gives us $1.87 near today’s $1.86 low. The half way mark is $1.93 which can be expected to be new minor resistance together with this morning’s $1.91 high coinciding with a pullback after $2 was hit. But given its wild casino-like fortunes, Genting should be able to overcome these minor resistances and move back to $1.95-99 support in Monday’s report. Assuming $1.86 remains the low in this round of correction, 38%recovery takes it to $1.98 and 50% to $2.02. The Company's Stock Trading Account is not allowed to buy or sell security contrary to the recommendation in this report for 3 market days from the date of this report, Sept 30 2010.

but it probably differs with platforms.

All depends on whether a downtrend has been formed...
no one can know for sure..
If it is a downtrend, even 1.80 is e'xpensive'...
But if it is just a retracement, then 1.85 may be 'cheap'..

eh... if u put 1.85, and sell out to 1.86 buy up queue... u effectively sold it off at 1.86.. unless the 1.86 queueing lots is smaller amount than yours, which the remainder gets sold to 1.85..
isn't that right?
because i sold at wrong price before and they sold off at the buying queue price.
