We believe that overseas visitor numbers in Sep should also set another record for 2010, aided by the Formula 1 SingTel Night Race that was held over 24-26 Sep. And as the fourth quarter typically sees higher tourist arrivals due to the holiday period, we believe that this should also bode well for the two integrated resorts. Meanwhile, we note that GS’ share price has fallen by around 15% since it peaked at S$2.18 in mid-Sep. The run-up after its spectacular 2Q10 results was probably a bit too fast, too furious; hence we view the pullback as healthy. In line with our revised gaming assumptions for 2011 (Singapore market is likely to stabilize around S$7b versus S$6b previously), our DCF-based fair value also rises from S$1.85 to S$2.38. At 11:35 a.m., shares of Genting Singapore were trading at $1.94 on a volume of 127 million shares. "I think the selling was overdone for this week," said a local trader. Based on Thursday's closing price of $1.86, Genting shares have fallen 7.5% since the start of the week. OCBC Investment Research on Friday raised its target price for Genting Singapore to $2.38 from $1.85 and maintained its "buy" rating.
