Denmark: Maersk Line posts $461 million profit

A.P. Moller-Maersk CEO, Nils Smedegaard Andersen, announced that the company's revenue for 2012 fell by 2 percent to USD 59 billion from USD 60.2 billion.

Andersen said that net profit for the year reached USD 4 billion, whereas pre-tax profit plunged by 22 percent to USD 7.3 billion from USD 9.4 billion.

Meanwhile, the Danish company's container shipping division Maersk Line posted a profit of USD 461 million, compared with a shortfall of USD 553 million a year earlier.

Furthermore, the average freight rates in 2012 rose by 1.9 percent, while volumes went up by 5 percent.

In trading, there will be countless losing trades... It is all about protection of capital..

But it is important to have a strict rationale for the entry in the first place...

Then only dump if it is proven to be wrong.

But you will notice that I was right about GentingSp yesterday,

only that I was a bit too tight in my cut loss point (shorted@1.58) ...

dumped @1.585 yesterday... ie. dumped too early... Smiley

NOL building sale completed just in time before the new property tax kicked in.

196mil confirmed to be in 1Q 2013 result.

By the way tomorrow high chance property and property reit counters would take a hit.

2013 budget = 8th property measure, it the last stray that break the camel back. When interest rate rebound, it gona cause a crash in property.

Just trade/short within ur mean, don overshoot ur budget is the way to go.

By the way, this afternoon 2013 budget is anti rich budget lol. Rich folk get to pay high property tax on their super expensive house and investments.

Those sentosa cove house owners now must be jumping mad, 20mil seaside apartment how much proptery tax do u think they had to cough out.

Also property tax for investment property jump from 10% to 12- 20% depending on how expensive is ur property.

More money would come to stock market after this shocker lol.

March is just round the corner and with the shorting transparency rule kicking in, volume would be low.

It really doesn't matter whether you buy or sell... either way is bettable.

As long as you enter at a well-determined point, you simply either enjoy the profit,

OR, if the market proves you wrong, you simply dump it away immediately.

And all you will lose is just a little bit. But if you do not dump, the losses can accumulate

until " pok!" , especially when one is " mm kam guan" and start to averagedown...

These parties made at least $700m - $800m for the IPO of so many S-cheats.

But God is great to see that these parties have lost all their ill-gotten fortune in casinos in S'pore, Vegas, Aust and London.

Talk about about fair game in this country when these two jokers can get away without any investigations with such crooked schemes.
