Why drop so much? Is it because of the drop in crude oil price?

Or got report stating another director selling? No sign of reversal yet actually. Overall seem like a downtrend.

one common reason for people--be they directors or otherwise--to cash out their shares is because they too are players in the market, and need to shore up other losing counters. ie, it may have absolutely nothing to do with SPC per se, but with an individual's overall portfolio.

Since psychologically, most people will sell their winners to shore up the losers, rather than cut loss. It's a common mistake known as "shooting your winners."

Anyhow, just keep watch. If it's a once-off event, no big deal. But if you see different directors concertedly selling down, then it'd be a cause for concern.

This counter shouldn't worry its holders anyway. Oil's retracement via fibo should be to about 120, so when gold hits 86 and oil is steady at a base, you can then expect a rebound (and rest of market, down).

edit: ah, i see sporeguy has calculated the oil fibo. Smiley

Thanks idesa168, Ak_Francis, trader88.sg & Sporeguy for stating the various possible reasons for Mr & Mrs Koh's action.

We sure see some smart people around in the forum.

CO has risen from $25 to $147. So using the most optimistics of Fibonacci retracement of 38.2%, it will support at $100. In between there will be an a-b-c wavelet. b wave may move from $121 to $130 (resistance) before dropping to $100. CO is a case of depleting resource, so I don't think it will drop to half the price of $70+ according to the Chinese Newspaper. Then I would expect the waves 1 to 5 to end at $176.

Another theory...

Director's sale is to purposely give the public the wrong signal and cause some panic. When the public start selling, BB might pick up the shares from the sellers. Smart!

agreed, they may hv untold obligations.

sometimes, market may influence them as well, esp those who are panicky ones.

now CO is on downtrend and the global market is still quite buoyant, they may see the gloomy stock price and decided to clear some for better profit before the stock price plunges furhter.

AK guess only lah.

May not be the case...One Director cashed out may not mean anything. This case, he and his wife, might need $$ for other purpose like buying a huge bungalow in Nassim district or starting a business, etc, the possibilities are a long list. If there are several directors cashing out in concert, then better watchout! I think this is a no event thigy, enjoy your weekend lah, dun get stressed out that way. If it comes, it will, nothing you can do when the mkt is closed for the weekend...hehehe!!! cheers!
