Six months suspension of cattles to Indonesia lifted after one month.
Same for Tiger Air suspension to 1st. August will be lifted after hearing on
22 July.
Cheers and happy weekend.
Tiger is a relatively small player in Australia—analysts estimate it accounts for 5% to 6% of the domestic travel market—it has had a powerful influence on ticket prices. If Tiger's exit from Australia happen , it could push ticket prices up about 15% .Most  Australian who like cheap air travel wanted to see Tiger to continue operating in the country.
45% of revenue coming from Australia (total rev of last yr S$622M), each week of suspension incurs loss of S$2M.
Just s domestic flight ban not worldwide as I said. Price already drop after this news. Won't have much impact
Not good, the hearing for the application is fixed on 22 July 2011 and the suspension contiunes to be in force pending the hearing. If CASA is successful in the application, there is a very likely chance that the suspension could  be suspended another one month from 22 July.

I will take a short position once it breaks $0.99... If not there's still no clear direction where this cat is going...
CASA Suspension
The Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia (“CASA”) has applied to the Federal Court of
Australia to extend the suspension of Tiger Airways Australia Pty Limited’s (“Tiger Airways
Australia”) domestic services until 1 August 2011, pending the outcome of CASA’s
investigations. The hearing for the application has been fixed on 22 July 2011. Pending the
hearing, the suspension continues to be in force.
Tiger Airways Australia continues to work with the industry regulator and other authorities to
resolve the issues, and hopes to resume flights as soon as possible.
Ticket sales at Tiger Airways Australia have been suspended since 6 July 2011. Sales will
recommence once Tiger Airways Australia obtains more certainty on the outcome of CASA’s
investigations.
  2. Clarification on Media Reports
The Company refers to the reports in the media that the Government of South Australia may
wish to claw back the A$2.25 million granted to Tiger Airways Australia to base aircraft in
South Australia.
The management of Tiger Airways Australia has advised the Board of Directors of the
Company that they have initiated discussions with the South Australian government. These
discussions are ongoing and have not yet reached a conclusion.
The Company also refers to various media articles referring to the cost impact of the
suspension and wishes to re-iterate that the cost impact of the suspension is estimated to be about S$2 million per week.
whether well supported at 1.04, next   Mon/Tue will be clearer....
even the grounding is lifted by end of july, it will take a long time to repair the damaged reputation and recover the operations to recoup the losses, impact on FY11/12 earnings will be huge.... those who are vested must be prepared to lock in the cash-invested and tankuku lah...
agree, $1.04 is a good price. If SIA top management fully support Tiger,
we can expect bright future of this coy.
Well support at $1.04 Should rebound slowly and cross $1.25 once the grounding is lift by end of july or earlier.
Do vest and good luck
The Capital Group Companies Still keep 6 per cent
" ...................Tiger Airways said US fund manager The Capital Group Companies has unloaded around 11.1 million shares but did not give specific details, reason or the price.
The sale, between June 27 and July 4, effectively reduces its stake to 6 per cent from around 8 per cent........................."

SINGAPORE : Tiger Airways will resume flights between Singapore and Bangalore in south India from October 31.
The service will launch with four flights a week - on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays - and tickets go on sale on Friday, Tiger said in a statement.
The budget carrier had stopped flying to Bangalore last year.
Meanwhile, Qantas Airways said on Friday it has extended a special fare offer to customers of the Australian arm of Tiger Airways who cannot fly due to the grounding of Tiger's Australian unit until August 1.
The fares apply to Tiger passengers who had been booked to travel until July 31, Qantas said in a statement.

Great News: In the latest new report (bu channelnewsasia) : The new chief of Australia's grounded Tiger Airways said its Singapore parent was " absolutely committed" to the budget carrier and " everything necessary" would be done to get it flying again.Tony Davis said he was confident the airline would by the end of July overcome safety issues which saw it grounded.
The board of Tiger Airways is absolutely committed to the airline here in Australia," said Davis, until this week the president of parent group Tiger Airways Holdings.
" My appointment is a tangible demonstration of that commitment."
" We're committed to a long-term future and I think Australians want us to be here to ensure that there is competition in the air sector," he added.
In addition to CASA's investigation, Davis said Tiger was conducting a " comprehensive" internal review to satisfy itself that its services were " safe and viable" and ensure it had a clean slate.
" It's about a fresh start, it's about addressing that anything that needs to be addressed and it's about having a long-term, viable, safe airline here in Australia," he said.
Singapore Airlines holds 32.9 per cent equity stake in Tiger Airways Holdings, and it has said it has no plans to reduce its share following the Australia grounding.

Do vest and good luck.

My broker had advice to buy and accumulate when it is low. It should move up once the grounding is lift by 31 July.
Good chance to profit when it move later in August.
Do vest and good luck
Whether to abandon or not.. It's up to the OZs verdict...
