TA charts look quite bearish. Acc/Dist and Chaikin downtrending AND price cuts lower Bollinger Band. All bearish signals.

One common mistake people got themselves into is believing that it must be a good deal because something is so cheap. They then buy it thinking it's a hidden gem. (Just look at the many topics that go like this: "Such and such counter a hidden gem" in the sharejunction forum.

It usually pays to buy something for quality (value) not purely on price alone.

The more correct question to ask when something is so cheap would be:  Why is it so cheap and so unloved? What are the key essential drivers for its fortune to change for the better and what's the probability of it happening based on what you already know?

Don't buy something in anticipation some good news (usually hearsays) may be coming to a counter. Buy based on known facts.

Cheers!

Interest in this counter is waning. The volumes are really low.

There is some disparity in the wealth in this world. It has aways been that way. So there wll always be people who buy into lifestyle products. There will always be people who still live at lower levels of maslow law.

Uhhh... it's always so agonising when I can't understand a single sentence of text in Chinese (though I can speak it quite well). How I wish I could...

Or maybe I should start looking for a partner who does... then it will be like Jack Sprat and his complementary partner... hehehe... Smiley

I bought OSIM at premium $0.655cts today as I didn't have to gut to buy at 59.5cts (my previous buy plan).
I don't have cut loss on this one as I believe its share price has hit the bottom and it's on its journey up.

I remember selling off 10lots of OSIM at $1.93 on 26th Oct 2006 the day before it crashed.
I got the SMS from my friend which was vested substantially. Since I still got profit in hand and the sudden plunge of price was suspicious, I luckily had the time to unload it before closing bell.
Now I"m buying back at less than 1/3 of the price. Hopefully to see this double.

An extract from lg 6273:

The question is whether the market shares his optimism. Share purchases by top management will not necessarily sway opinions. One gets the feeling that the current quarter would be the litmus test. For OSIM, Q4 is certainly a critical period, as Brookstone's profits are primarily made during the Christmas period, although the group is trying to make the US store profitable all year round.

Points to consider:-

1. Brookstone's earning esp since US market is hit by sub-prime resulting in retailers tightening their belt.

2. USD fall in FX - what will the impact on overall earning?

3. Keen competition???

3.

Now Panasonic has come out with a better version machine similar to the iGallop.

This version looks more like a horse-riding simulator, whereas Osim's iGallop appears more as a "rodeo machine" visually.

But functionally, both machines are excellent for the serious and unshallow-minded people to use.

Been studying this one for awhile and discuss with a few TA gurus. The only thing that titillates this year from osim is the pair of legs shown off by lin chiling. Great beautiful legs and the usqueeze are selling very well in Asia (espcially Taiwan).

Maybe, osim should get kate moss (or cindy crawford) to show off their  legs in brookstone advertisement under osim in the USA. Throw in paris hilton in bikini on that u-desire massage chair. Sexiness sells in all lifestyle products.
