Based on Fondaco?s most recent sales trend, Fondaco?s interventional product business was generating annual revenue of approximately S$4 million in Indonesia and net profit margin of around 25 percent. The revenue and profit contribution to Biosensors may vary depending on various business factors. With a population of approximately 230 million people in Indonesia and a rapidly advancing healthcare system, the market for coronary stents is poised to grow significantly. The acquisition, combined with our recent alliance with PT Kimia Farma, one of the leading state-owned healthcare companies in Indonesia, will enable us to quickly penetrate the Indonesian market. Now with Fondaco being part of Biosensors, we have immediately established an experienced and formidable team of sales personnel necessary to capitalize on this tremendous growth opportunity.

***If BIG can do direct selling in Indo, the net margin will be much higher than the reported 25%. Note that JWMS China's net profit margin is 40%. PT Fondaco made about US$683,000 for BIG under their FY2007 consolidated financial statements. This net profit figure will shoot up if BIG secures CE and able to sell Biomatrix in Indonesia directly.

Although BIG is poor in investor PR (which is important esp for pre-earnings company), BIG is smart enough not to do a bad deal . From the China JW deal, we know BIG is able to do a multi-bagger great deal.

It is not logical to assume that the moment the owner of the Indonesia company that received Biosensors shares will IMMEDIATELY sell off their shares on the open mkt.

Normally, there will be a moratorium period, just like in the case of JW Medical. Even, if there is no such period, it does not mean that theyh will sell,  - nobody knows.

reply to doshur..it means more shares overhang..ie the supply of shares arising from Biosensor's new shares to finance its acquisition of Indonesian co...more downward pressure ..collect 65cts and below safer

Good luck to shorties...Personally i don't think BIG will regain to above 0.90 anytime soon. So trade wif care....for those who vested at above >0.95 pray hard the CE comes so that you guys can offload....But its unlikely to happen anytime soon... if you got better option then move on.....

<since when has this stock behaved in accordance to futures?>

Perhaps u miss this piece of news:

SINGAPORE, Nov. 20, 2007 (Thomson Financial delivered by Newstex) -- Stock markets across Asia reversed from their worst levels in late trade Tuesday, led by Japan after a press report said the Federal Reserve will publish upbeat economic forecasts for the US when it releases the minutes from its October meeting later today.

The Fed will indicate it expects the US economy to pull through the current rough patch and regain strength in 2008, the FT reported on its website. The report will show that policymakers are much more optimistic than financial markets are currently and may challenge expectations of further rate cuts, said the paper.

'Optimism here towards the US economy in addition to rumors of an emergency Fed meeting, also heard in late New York trading, resulted in a major rally on the TSE,' said Haruya Ida, analyst at Thomson IFR in Tokyo. 'From losses bordering on 2% and a low of 14,751.27, the Nikkei rallied back above 15K and into positive territory, trading up to a high of 15,182.'
The Shanghai Composite also swung into positive territory, trading last up 0.3 percent at 5,285. The Taiwanese Taiex was flat at 8,680

<it just has a mind of its own...or rather its in the mind of shortists most of the time.. >

don't need cheerleaders. those who want to buy, buy cheap, don't chase price up and don't blame others if you decide to chase price up.

since when has this stock behaved in accordance to futures? when futures looked good, this stock also goes down. it just has a mind of its own...or rather its in the mind of shortists most of the time..

Where are the cheerleaders? Futures look great but I suspect it's one step forward, two steps back. It's going to be one hell of a choppy ride. Just dun mention sub-prime!

After all the HooooHaaaaa on CE coming in Oct..then Nov...then Jan or Mar...

I think let's get real and face the fact that CE approval in unlikely to happen anytime soon.

Jan to Mar also in doubt...maybe CE kelong or we are over optimistic liow....

Better search other counters for better returns.....

Anyway, the rebound just now appears quite strong...
So looks like the 'mean price' is unachievable for now...

Different people will have different perceptions and views, and anyone can be wrong...

The stock market is a risky place!!! it can go up and it can also go down (ie. go either way).
