If GentingSP can move up against a weak broader market, it means it has not lost its bullishness. A strong bullish signal.

Singapore shares may open lower on Tuesday after Wall Street shares fell as investors took profits on recent gains.
Singapore’s benchmark Straits Times Index <.FTSTI> rose 0.85% on Monday to close at 3,157.45 points.
Here are some stocks to watch:
Bourse operator Singapore Exchange (SGXL.SI) may be in focus after it said it achieved record volumes for its gold spot contract, Nikkei dividend and China A50 futures in September. It said the daily average value for securities trading in September was $1.8 billion, 20% higher than a month ago, and the total market capitalisation as at September 30 was $778 billion. Ascott Residence Trust (ASRT.SI), a REIT unit of The Ascott Ltd, said on Monday that it has received valid provisional allotment acceptances and excess new units applications for 136.7 million new units, more than double the total number of new units available under its preferential offering.
Shipbuilding firm JES International (JSIH.SI) said on Monday it has won contracts to construct and sell one unit of 95,000 deadweight tons (DWT) bulk carrier for a company incorporated in Panama, two 82,000 DWT bulk carriers for a South Korean firm, and five 47,500 DWT bulk carriers for a Chinese company.
Boustead Singapore (BOCS SP): The provider of engineering services said its energy-related unit won contracts from the oil and gas industries in Brazil and Chile for $9 million. The stock was unchanged at 99 cents.
Darco Water Technologies (DWT SP): The Singapore-based water-treatment company said it acquired a Taiwanese maker of sludge scrappers for NT$10 million ($4.2 million). Darco shares were unchanged at 8.5 cents.
SIA Engineering Co. (SIE SP): The aircraft maintenance unit of Singapore Airlines (SIA SP) said it signed a contract with Airbus to provide maintenance services for five Singapore Airlines fleets. The shares slipped 0.7% to $4.51.
Offshore services firm Swiber Holdings (SWBR.SI) said on Monday it will issue three-year fixed rate notes worth $80 million at an interest rate of 5.8% per annum under its $500 million multicurrency medium term note programme.
Shipping companies: The Baltic Dry Index of commodity-shipping rates gained 1.1% in London yesterday, adding to a 0.3% climb on Oct 1. Cosco Corp. Singapore (COS SP), a China-based shipbuilder that also operates bulk carriers, gained 1.1% to $1.83. Mercator Lines Singapore (MRLN SP), an Indian bulk carrier, rose 1.8% to 28 cents. STX Pan Ocean Co. (STX SP), South Korea’s biggest bulk carrier, lost 0.3% to $13.78.
Commodity suppliers: The Reuters/Jefferies CRB Index, which tracks prices of 19 commodities from copper to corn, fell 0.6% New York. Noble Group (NOBL SP), a Hong Kong-based commodities supplier, slipped 0.5% to $1.93. Olam International (OLAM SP), one of the world’s three biggest suppliers of cotton, was unchanged at $3.31. |

Having said all that, there are days when STI went bear but GentingSP went bull. The key is whether or not the buying sentiment for GentingSP stays intact. The only way to read this is candlestick analysis.

Daily Analysis
Up Factors (STI and GentingSP) : 1) GentingSP Stochastics, Williams, RSI, ADX positively placed, indicating up momentum in place.
2) GentingSP price up on better than average volume previous 2 sessions, indicating strong buying interests.
3) GentingSP closed last session with a buy-up of 3.3 million at 2.40
4) China has provided positive data on its manufacturing output and their premier has promised more effort to increase domestic demand for their own goods.
Down Factors (STI and GentingSP) : 1) Overnight, Dow Jones down 78 points. Europe closed lower.
2) Hangman / inverted hammer formed on both STI and GentingSP. Possible reversal if today is a black candle for STI or GentingSP.
3)
STI stochastics and williams indicate loss of momentum. RSI in
overbought region.
4) Europe terrorist fears linger. Recall 9/11 and what happened to stock markets worldwide when the twin towers went down.
Questions to ask yourself :Is the market more likely to
profit take or more likely to
buy more given the above situations?
Is the market more greedy or more fearful at this time?
Further indicators : At opening, is it a gap-up or gap-down or the same price? Gap-up indicates strong buying interest, gap-down indicates the opposite.
Quote from the movie Wall Street 2 : Bulls make money, Bears make money, only pigs get slaughtered.
From my experience, because fear is a stronger emotion than greed, it is usually easier and faster to make money from a bear day than a bull day.
Trade safe guys
Those who buy stocks based on hope will bound to be disappointed one way or another. Using cold logic and analysis will help you to cut down your risks, using hope will increase your risks. Just something to keep in mind.

bid is $3 because of 5mins matching after market close.. 5pm market close, 5:05pm last matching trade..
during this period, people can set very high/low bid/sell price to ensure their positions get cleared.
Also, during this period, if u do not have market depth, u won't be able to estimate the real closing... take note i say estimate.. because there are always fake stacks. Without market depth, you also won't be able to know how heavy is the queueing below the $3 buy bid or how heavy is the queueing above the $1.78 sell bid.
hope this helps ;D
