Stockists have to try to ramp up or down a stock in the hope that retail investors will follow suit. As they pay lower brokerage compared to retail players (they, therefore, are able to buy by the hundreds), they just dump the shares (after having bought them) or cover up their positions (after having shorted them) when market closes if there is no follow through. However, they can make many $$$ in a good day, eh! Retail investors do not have their stamina!
This is where traders does ply their trade to chuck out their volume.
With the constant volume staying above 10 mil shares, i see prices won't move up very fast as they trade in hundred if not in thousand, so 1-2 cents still make alot of kopi $$$.
Ya take profit for 1-2c increase, very kiasu leh! Maybe they bought 1000 lots at 1 go, so they would have made $10,000.
Prices drop so great that it is impossible to make a v turn and likely to be a U turn, then the chart n px climb will start again slowly but steadly. In between some will take some profit.
Ya lah, too kan cheong to make profit but i should be able to off-load faster than the rest who bought above me!!!
All trade done is all on a very short and immediate basic, so buy/sell or hold is consider as Stag profit takers or losser. Your px is very reasonable if U look at the chart and volume, u will know can sure make kopi $$$, unlike those who bot above a dollar, they now have some chances to buy back at this points in time.
BioT is one of the biggest treatment organisation well supported by Chinese govt, oni thing is to be more forward looking, transient, translate and transplant their products properly. I don see why px should rise to more then a dollar, when it come , all analysts will say this is a good stock to held it from a hold to a buy. one more thing if oni they (boss) can find a very experience int'l PR partner and/or wise mgr, better still..
ya, biot only suffered the battering due to failure to give profit forecasts early early. I magine they do give profit warnings early, will Biot be trading at this price??? The CEO actually Sc***** up the whole sentiment on this. Looking at the broader pic, Biot will be made to maintain and run treatment plants they make so, they would have more $$$ for more treatment plants they make. The only question is if they are able to meet deadlines and the management able to give any prioir warnings that can happen to their profit margins. Blamingon micro-organisms doesn't show too well on them>
Maybe Epure Int'l coming ipo & Hyflux (both is world bank supporter) can give BioT a treat, patience can see water stocks rising, matter of speed oni as IFC ( subsidairy of W/Bank) is pumping yet more $$$ into EastAsia. Last year closed to a billion $$$. This year maybe more or less, i really don know!!!. got big big mountious backer.
Chipchip66, do not feel disappointed at this short term tradings. The Chinese President Hu Jin Tao has announced that one of the priority objectives of the Central Gov is to ensure that all of China down to the villages will have clean water supplies by year 2015. Biot. being one of the bigger water purification companies will stand to benefit tremendously, the rally is not going to fizzle out , if you are astute and have the patience Biot will provide more than kopi$ for your welfare. good luck.
Wah! Those who sell today really make kopi $ from local kopi shop. Why don't wait longer to make kopi$$ from Starbucks?? So disappointing to see rally fizzled out.
I agree with chip. All the sellers (both retail n big boys) have been flushed out. Shld consolidate here. If u have not cut loss when it dived, I see no reasons for anyone to do so now.
bIOT as 75.5c now. Lots of sellers but still got buying support when falls to 75c. Hopefully people will see this is a good entry point as it is very oversold.
Strong stop come in at $0.725 so far so good ppl may seem to support at this px at this moment so likely if it surge to $0.80, better to take profit 1st then buy back again.

Agree with teeth53. No point buying just one lot as the commission for buying and selling is very high. I usually buy about $7k (since min commission payable is $25 via internet). Once, I queue to sell and someone bought only l lot for a few hundred dollars. I end up paying $25 for the commission ....
