The counter is for short terms breakup, that is why I did not vest, although the trend of breakup is obvious.

As the technical is not support by fundamental, the palm oil pricing is still in the decline. Thus, it will not be able to substain the technical since the earning will not be increase due to lower selling price.

Attached the chart of the palm oil for past 5yrs and 1yrs. Currently still seems to be in the downwards trend for the palm oil price.

Volatility in agri commodity prices looks set to continue into 2013, according to a report from Rabobank’s Agri Commodity Markets Research department. This will be particularly true for grain and oilseeds markets, with a supply squeeze in the first six months expected to push prices higher, before an expected production rebound leads to a weakening in prices in the second half of the year. The report says soymeal is the commodity likely to show the largest price decline by the end of 2013.

So far so good,   Wilmar rallied to & reacted down at 3.37 , may proceed to 3.47 react down a bit   , then to 3.59/63 before suffering a strong reaction down .

for more detail illustration, pse  see my wilmar chart.    TQ.   disclaimer applies.

I think yesterday the public got sucked   in at probably from 3.23 to 3.28 on high volume at about 9.20am   so today the operator used the   fiscal talks stalemate ( dow futures down 200 pts   at one point )   to shakeout the public first before   pushing up   further.

so the trick is to enter just before the breakout like what my students did on wed 19 dec   or enter on retrace ( or shakeout   )   after the breakout like today or maybe monday .

Yes the " bullish fever" for Wilmar still there and holding up well with hope of year end window dressing rally !!! And BBs would probably want to smash that 3.80s,200 MA resistance by early Jan 13.

Malaysian crude palm oil futures were up 1.6 percent on expectation of higher prices partly due to weather conditions. Indonesia's move to cut export tax to 7.5 percent for January from 9 percent for December may also benefit Wilmar.

News from Reuters.
