For retirees, buying 50 or more is better than the CPF Life Income...

Just my view...

Just bought 50 lot @3.75.  Hope they can keep up with the 0.25 cent dividend a year.

0000 GMT [Dow Jones] Singapore companies likely to return cash to shareholders next year due to record equity fund raising, better-than-expected free cash flows, lower dividend payouts in 2009, says Credit Suisse; "we see cash distribution potentially returning in a big way over the next 12-18 months." Estimates cash position of Singapore Inc. to rise 13% in 2010, another 20% in 2011; "historically, there has been a strong relationship between improvements in free cash flows and cash position and subsequent dividend distributions." Tips CapitaLand (C31.SG), Singapore Airlines (C6L.SG), Keppel Corp. (BN4.SG), MobileOne (B2F.SG), Singapore Press Holdings (T39.SG) as companies that could dish out higher or special dividends in 2010. (FKH)

For sure, no one will know how much they're over-paying for the CM till 1-2Q 2011. I wonder should the top bidder turned out to be say the Kep Land gp, will HDB reject it and call for another tender due to low valuation?

Anyway, I see this elephant still has got room to move esp. when we're looking at quite a significant economic recovery next year and beyond.

XD already...wait for $$ to come in at 23rd Dec. Congratulations to all loyal shareholders!

agree.... remember parkway 'overbid' novena medical centre and price took a severe beating? Analysts are now saying how this medical centre can help boost their bottomline...  No one really knows how all these overpaying and underpaying would pan out.

More important why investors are ignoring possible cash return as commented by analyst besides purchasing it at a good return price of 6%+ on your investment presently.

when Singapore GDP becomes positive from current negative figure in half year time, this stock will BENEFIT also (at least price is substainable and a plunge is not expected for the next 5-6 months...good luck :)

if you are not greedy, SPH is a good stock to buy at near to 7% dividend....will benefit from economy recovery (now GDP at minus 2- 3) as when GDP is at plus 3-5 next year, the uptrend should be intact and SPH will be one of the counter to benefit from the postivite results...as good economy will generate more advertising revenue...good luck :)

NB: Last few days to buy to entitle to 18 cents dividend
