this counter is selling at a 40% discount. uptrend now. i think 0.125 is a good price to enter. waiting for 2nd wave now....should be anytime soon. downside is almost ZERO. makes this a pretty safe investment. vested.

A broker had issued an unrated research note suggesting the company had a RNAV potential of between $0.19 to $0.24.

Personally I am not impressed with the guy running this company...Mr. Kea???

Past history of Kea in the corporate world includes his buying over of Simon Cheong's (SC) Blu Inc then changed the name to Vantage. He sold the core business (publishing business) of Vantage to SPH and Co. was left with a cash shell.....leading to Vantage suspension from SGX.

After procrastinating on the next course of action for Vantage and spending >$5mill of th cash reserves, he had to defend a take over offer by SC to buy back Vantage shares at a lower price. SC did not succeed but Kea had to make a general offer at a higher price than he intended to pay.

After that episode and in desperation, Kea's Vantage hastely acquired about 29% of PacNet shares from the buyer who bought it off SembCorp. Before Kea could get Vantage relisted, MediaRing made a move to take control of PacNet. Although unsuccessful, MediaRing today controls more shares of PacNet than Vantage.

Because of the blunders by Kea, Vantage shares have been suspended since 2004...and as Vantage is not the largest single shareholder of PacNet, they cannot claim to have control and thus a core business. Hence, it is unlikely SGX will lift its suspension anytime soon.

Kea made news recently...he is being sued by his sibling/s for unaccountability of hundreds of millions of his family's business cash assets.

In my opinion, Kea seems to be a big loser in the corporate scene and his integrity is highly questionable. Close your eyes, throw a dart at the list of SGX stocks, there is a very, very high probability that the dart will land on a better stock to invest than anything that Kea is involved in....namely Vantage and ArianeCorp.

LCD maker ArianeCorp said it has agreed to issue up to $50m worth of redeemable convertible bonds to DB Zwirn Mauritius Trading Ltd, a unit of Delaware-based D.B. Zwirn Special Opportunities Fund LP.

The funds will be used to develop HK-based VoIP company, CarrierNet, that ArianeCorp is acquiring. The funds will allow CarrierNet to expand in new territories including emerging markets, where margins for VoIP services are higher. ArianeCorp will also consider using the funds to invest in its fibre optic network in China.

ArianeCorp announced the deal to buy CarrierNet for $15.6m last month.

The fund subscribing for the zero-coupon bonds that ArianCorp will issue is managed by DB Zwirn & Co., a global alternative investments manager and merchant capaital provider managing funds with assets of over US$4.5b. The 5-year bonds will be issued in tranches of $2m and at 100% of the principal amount. The bonds can be converted into new ArianCorp shares within five years from the issuance of the bonds.
