We shall see about this...it has to break 0.90cents to be convincing.

Otherwise, same old trick again & again & again.

I dun think there is such a thing as "calculate roughly need how many lots to increase or decrease the price ? e.g up or down $0.005".

Price up or down depends on the buy/sell q, when the buy q is exhausted, the buy q drop one level n vice-versa n price moves up or down based on sentiments n whether buyers or sellers overwhelm the transactions, if more buyers keep buying up, price will go up n vice-versa.

I am wondering who/why is selling 1400 lots knowing the stock is trending up?

Will there be a time where we want to buy a stock, but, no one wants to sell?

Funny question? isnt it?

From "Lim & Tan securities":

We remain positive on Midas given its robust
growth prospects, underpinned by its robust order
books of RMB1.4bln as well as the robust prospects
of its 32.5% owned subsidiary company, also
underpinned by solid order books of RMB4.5bln.

And this in turn reflects the government’s active
efforts to support the railcar industry in China to
reduce transportation bottlenecks as well as reduce
transportation costs. Rail transportation is much
cheaper than air travel and is much safer and causes
much less pollution than automotive transportation.

The company will be increasing their production
capacity by 200% in the next 2 years to cope with
the strong order flows. Its PE of 20x remains
undemanding compared to its expected growth rate
of 40-50%.

Story: Midas announced last evening that it has been informed by its JV
company, Nanjing SR Puzhen Rail Transport Co., Ltd ("NPRT"), that a
contract to supply metro train cars, valued at RMB1.56 billion has been
awarded by Shanghai Railway Transport Line 2 Eastern Extension Development
Company Limited to NPRT and its consortium partners Shanghai ALSTOM
Transport Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd. and ALSTOM Transport S.A.

Point: Under the terms of the contract, NPRT and its consortium partners
will supply 32 metro train sets (1 train set = 6 train cars) for the
above-mentioned project. This is equivalent to 192 train cars. NPRT has an
estimated 66% share of this contract. This contract is to be fulfilled in
2009 and 2010.

Relevance: As indicated in our last report on 27 Feb, we had indicated that
NPRT should be able to win more projects to add to its order book. With
this win, NPRT's order book swells to over RMB5bn and covers 80pct of our
revenue forecast for NPRT's FY09. This contract win should further
reinforce investors¡¯ confidence in Nanjing Puzhen's long-term prospects.

We continue to like the long-term prospects of Midas. Maintain BUY for
Midas, TP $1.60 based on 24x FY08/09 earnings. Catalysts for re-rating
include the completion of the NELA deal as well as a potential tie-up with
Chinalco.

DBS Vickers

see past comments above..

Its 120mil pte placement at 75.5cts was a roaring success yielding $89.4mil for expansion of is aluminium alloy production capacity and the balance $7.9mil as working capital.Edge magazine and CIMB has been recommending since it was 82cts,today's rise is accomapnied by vol(45mil done as at now)
