Thanks for sharing AK.

But i beleive the term "BB" is very widely used and what u just posted is common knowledge that ANY investor ought to know.

Any attempt to re-define the term "BB", esp so much so that the new defination of "BB" can "supress" or "rise" prices on a DAILY basis is just plain lame to me...

Basically, BBs are the professional giants involving massively investment in Asian clinching deals. Those are the below burgers:

PwC, Somerley, CIMB, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Citi, KPMG, Ernst & Young and last the local bourse DBS Group. BT 12-13 Apr 08.

Thanks AK.  So do we consider those professional day traders as BB?

I sense that there is some misunderstanding on my use of the term BB. If you have read my previous postings,  my definition of BB are they are either day traders/punters who buy and sell in big volumes so that even a small margin gain is quite significant or they are fund managers managing either local or foreign funds.  Retail investors like us are unlikely to be in a position to trade in such big volumes.  Our trade are too insignificant to influence the direction of the stock.

totally agree with u regarding the fund managers being the real players... but let us not be too narrow minded...

Is it not possible that the recent daily ups and downs of Golden may be just retail investors playing amoung themselves ? Must BB aways be involved ?

why must a rise in price = BB buying ?

and a slight drop in price = BB surpressing prices ?

I have already declared that I am vested before ; whether heavily or not is relative.  As I have said before don't be too naive to think that you can talk up  the price of a share.

Don't you agree with me that it is ultimately the big fund managers who will eventually decide on whether  there is value in a stock and it is they who would decide on the direction of the stock.

Certainly, I will be happy if you can contribute any information, be it positive or negative regarding the stock rather than making statements like "desperate for ppl to push up the price so that he can exit?".

yah totally agree with you...

Seems either our investor38 is heavily vested in palm oil and is damn desperate for ppl to push up the price so that he can exit?  else i reckon he is damn free to post "bullish" news about Palm oil almost everyday..

With reference to his recent past post on "BB buying up" or "BB trying to surpress prices" or any comments simliar to that nature... well i think its quite unfounded since you cant really prove it...

Maybe just trying to take advantage on the age old Greed vs Fear theory ?

For every bullish news on Palm Oil, i urge ppl to keep one eye on the EU regulations on palm oil...

investor38, I see that you're very bullish about palm oil counters. But a stock cannot keep chionging under current market conditions. I only see resistances mentioned, or did i missed out on supports =)

I agree with you that Indoagri has gone up quite sharply this week.  As expected there will be a fair bit of profit taking after it hit the strong resistance of 2.70.  2.50 has now become the support line.  looking at the macro picture, I am generally still positive on palm oil counters .  Just hope I am right

I think what it's trying to do is to cover the gap at $2.77.

My reading of the charts tells me that trading will be range bound between 2.60 to 2.70.  Resistance at 2.70 if broken; next resistance will be at 3.00.  All will depend on the CPO prices, crude oil prices.  Near term fundamentals for palm oil is very strong because of the tight supply and increased demand situation.  Expect more upside for FR because the problems related to its court case has been resolved.

immediate resistance at 2.60 (mild) but stronger resistance at 2.70.   Continue to keep your eyes on fundamentals to determine when to sell.
