Up to date news is available in sgx (opera). latest news is that they wanted to buy over from CityDevepment. A building worth double it value or more then S$200 million. (Meanwhile they need alot of public money.)

http://www.propertyguru.com.sg/property-management-news/2010/10/28781/oxley-holdings-eyeing-sgx-listing

The recent measures aimed at cooling the property market have not stopped Oxley Holdings from seeking a listing on the Singapore stock exchange. The lifestyle property developer recently lodged its preliminary offer document for a listing on the Catalist board of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (SGX).

Oxley Holdings, which focuses in residential-cum-commercial projects, intends to use the net proceeds from its IPO to fund the acquisition of new land sites, partly finance the acquisition of five land sites and for general corporate and working capital requirements.

The developer said in its preliminary offer document that it plans to recommend and distribute dividends of at least 50 percent and 30 percent of its net profits attributable to shareholders for FY2011 and FY2012, respectively, and at least 20 percent of net profits attributable to shareholders for FY2013 to FY2015.

Collins Stewart Pte. Limited is the underwriter, sponsor and placement agent for the IPO.

IPO deluge
Watch for a deluge of mega IPOs this coming week when both Global Logistics Properties, with an IPO size of over $3.5 billion, and Mapletree Industrial Properties, with an IPO size of roughly $1.5 billion, go to market. Lost in all this is a small Catalist developer that builds pint-sized apartments,Oxley Holdings. It is offering 220 million shares at 38 cents each, according to people involved in the deal, who also say the orderbook has been filled.

Chart view
Short term indicators are at the top end of their range and in need of some rest after a fortnight’s run. This, coupled with the mega-listings could drain liquidity in the local market. In addition, the STI was unable to move beyond 3,192. Support is at 3,000.

Singapore’s Straits Times Index fell 0.4% to 3,153.34 at the close. The gauge rose 0.7% this week, its seventh weekly advance. Four stocks declined for each that climbed on the 30-member gauge.

Shares on the measure trade at an average 15.5 times estimated earnings, compared with about 17.4 times at the beginning of the year, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. The following shares were among the most active in the market.

Boustead Singapore (BOCS SP), a provider of engineering services, gained 1.9% to $1.05. The company said its Boustead Salcon Water Solutions unit won a contract to build a water treatment facility in the city state.

Fraser & Neave (FNN SP), a property developer and brewer, slid 1.3% to $6.26. Kim Eng Holdings lowered its recommendation on the stock to “hold” from “buy.”

Genting Singapore Plc (GENS SP), the operator of one of two casino resorts in the city, fell 2.5% to $1.98, declining for a second day. Morgan Stanley yesterday cut its recommendation on the stock to “equal-weight” from “overweight.”

Noble Group (NOBL SP), the commodities trader that counts China’s sovereign wealth fund as a shareholder, climbed 1.5% to $2.01. The company said it is seeking US$1.5 billion ($1.97 billion) of revolving loan facilities to replace its existing US$645.2 million 364-day revolving loan, which matures this year. The proceeds will also be used for general corporate purposes, it said.

Yamada Green Resources (YGR SP), a Fuzhou City, China- based supplier of shiitake mushrooms, advanced to 37 cents on its trading debut. The company sold 105 million shares at 22 cents in its initial share sale.

Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Holdings (YZJ SP), a China- based shipbuilder, rose 1.7% to $1.83. The company said its listing in Taiwan last month raised NT$3.76 billion ($160 million). The proceeds will be used for working capital, it said.

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stocks ended firmly higher on Friday, with the Dow industrials ending above 11,000 for the first time in five months, after a worse-than-expected jobs report lifted expectations the Federal Reserve will soon boost monetary stimulus.

The Dow (DJIA 11,006+57.90+0.53%) rose 57.90 points, or 0.5%, to end at 11,006.48, its first close above 11,000 since May 3, just days before the May 6 “flash crash”. The Dow gained 1.6% this week and is now up 5.6% year-to-date.

Alcoa, Inc. (AA 12.92+0.03+0.23%)  shares led the blue-chip index, jumping 5.7% after kicking off earnings season late Thursday with results that exceeded analysts’ expectations. The company also lifted its forecast for global aluminum demand in 2010. Read more on Alcoa

The technology-heavy Nasdaq Composite (COMP 2,402+18.24+0.77%)  rose 0.8% to 2,401.91, adding 1.3% this week. The Standard & Poor’s 500-stock index(SPX 1,165+7.09+0.61%) gained 0.6% to 1,165.15, up 1.7% for the week, with the materials and energy leading the way.
