" Cut loss" is a wrong word to use in trading. When one has long position and the market is trending downwards, selling all or portion of the long positions as it trends down will do more good than harm if your intention is to buy back at a lower price.   If one has good research of a company and confident of it moving upwards in the near future (weeks or a month or two) by selling first, and buying back, he is actually reducing his original buy prices on average.

For example, if you have bought contel for 10 cents, and when it started to drift downwards you sold it at 9 cents but bought back at 7.5 cents, your average price will be 8.5 cents ([10+7.5]-9).   Suppose you bought twice as much at 7.5 cents, your average will be 8 cents ([10+15]-9]).

The more you buy at the lower prices, your average buy price will be reduced.   The brokerage commission is not included.

Never hope for anything from EGM. I noticed everytime we do that, it will be a disappointment. When it is time to fly, you want to stop it also cannot. Be patient.

kinda depressing to see EGM not yet announced and price are being sold so cheap. Specially when TCW said in AGM that RTO cfm go thru already. Kinda felt cheated feeling right now. Been selling bit by bit once again. TMD.. Lose some more money

So now that Najib has won already.. What else are we left to keep this stack suppressed? 

 

i mean 'cos market sentiment may become bad temporary if najib lose, where every stock got a knee-jerk reaction, which may become a reason for shortist to come out to cause panic selling.. rowsley and those malaysia related stocks may be worse off, but many stocks may also be unable to avoid w/o fall..

i got a feeling that if malaysia najib lose, stocks will have a negative reaction to it, and contel could be pushed even down temporary lol
