results will only be out in may... not sure the effects of their recent developments overseas... as well as being taken off the SGX watchlist...
for those with accounting slant, can go read its financial statement... not sure if CEo has personally loan company money..
in interview with the edge some time back... he said that he might sell away or spin off this business (iFerret, etc) provided it turns profitable

Stratech Awarded Shipmast Height Detection System Contract by MPA
Singapore, 5 January 2010 – Singapore Exchange Mainboard-listed Stratech Systems Limited (“Stratech” or “the Group”) today announced that it has been
awarded a S$1.16 million contract by the Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) of
Singapore to design, implement and maintain the next-generation Shipmast Height
Detection System (SHDS).
The ability to provide vessel or shipmast height detection is crucial for waterways
that require minimum height clearance. The new SHDS is designed to monitor in
real-time the height of marine vessels passing through the waterway at Sentosa
Island, which could pose a threat to the safety of Sentosa’s cable car operations.
The system will detect and alarm MPA personnel upon any violation, thereby
ensuring that MPA’s ship height regulations are adhered to.
Based on laser technology and intelligent vision for visual verification, the new
SHDS will replace the existing system also deployed by Stratech.
Dr. David K.M. Chew, Executive Chairman of Stratech, said: "Over the years,
Stratech has evolved to become a major player in maritime safety and surveillance
with our Vessel Identification and Positioning System (VIPS®) for vessel
identification, our Vessel Height Surveillance System (VHSS™) for the monitoring of
flight paths over water and now two generations of the Shipmast Height Detection
System.”
“Minimum height clearance is also crucial to the safety of bridges built over water,”
Dr. Chew added. “We are in discussions in several countries and one of the UK’s
leading consultancies in the provision of planning, design and management services
for infrastructure development worldwide has specified our Vessel Height
Surveillance System for the proposed new Thames Gateway Bridge to be built in
London.”

Stratech and Aeronautics Form Strategic Alliance
>>>>>>> Joint Venture to Target US$62 Billion UAV Market <<<<<<<,,
Singapore, 2 February 2010 – Singapore Exchange Mainboard-listed Stratech
Systems Limited (“Stratech”) today announced that it is signing an agreement to form
a Joint Venture with Aeronautics Ltd. (“Aeronautics”) to target the Unmanned Aerial
Vehicles (UAV) market in the Asia Pacific.
The Teal Group's 2009 market study estimates that UAV spending will double over the
next decade from the current worldwide UAV expenditures of US$4.4 billion annually
to US$8.7 billion within a decade, totaling just over US$62 billion in the next 10 years.
The Joint Venture – Stratech Aeronautics Pte. Ltd. – will build, operate and maintain
Unmanned Aircraft Systems and Unmanned Surface Vehicles (or USVs, vehicles that
operate on the surface of water without a crew). Stratech and Aeronautics will bring
the two companies’ products and capabilities together and build new technologies.
Stratech Aeronautics Pte. Ltd. will operate out of Singapore and cover the Asia Pacific.
Dr. David K.M. Chew, Executive Chairman of Stratech, said: "The Joint Venture is set
to target the enormous UAV market. Stratech has emerged as a global leader in
intelligent Vision which is key to unmanned vehicles and surveillance. Besides go-tomarket
in the Asia Pacific, Stratech will work with Aeronautics to develop applications
for the Homeland Security market. Stratech Aeronautics will also develop products
and capabilities to address the growing number of civil applications, such as rescue
operations during natural disasters, anti-piracy, the surveillance of pipelines and
strategic asset protection. I am confident that this Stratech, Aeronautics Joint Venture
seem like left hand to right hand trade leh.......never see q for 6million share for a long long time leh.....this morning all of a sudden 6million q to buy then also allof a sudden all done ...hehehe....smell fishy leh.......company shld be doing better this Q.....more stable recurring income leh.....hehehe ....my personnel view only hor.......hehehe....
