The buy news has no effect on the price do far. Maybe it will go down due to credit woes around the world.
Halt! That's strange.
This post makes for an interesting read. How does one quantify political instability? France probably has more demonstrations all year round compared to Indonesia e.g. remember the outskirts of Paris set ablaze and the more recent strikes? How about Japan? The political climate is Japan is argurably more unstable than Indonesia given the more frequent leadership changes and scandals involving the top brass.
For Indonesia , the challenge remains execution as well as the need to *grease* the process. The amount of foreign presence in the O&G as well as mining industry is a barometer on how well the economy is improving after the battering from the '97 Asian financial crisis. The more immediate concern for long-term investors would be the conduct of the elections in 2009.
basantd, i would think 8 - 9% returns is good especially if treated as a fixed deposit.
do u guys think its a good time to move in? yield at this level shud be 8-9%?
cwliang,
if your pasted figures are correct, my gues is they have outstanding buyback volume of 13-million units. Once that outstanding 13-million is bought or 30 days from LMIR listing has expired, whichever is earlier, the real truth will be out.

how long can they sustain with this action ?
downtrend market......SHORT is the word....!
perhaps it's a wrong time for IPO...look likes weak sentiments nowadays. dun know US will go in recession or not at the begining of next year. worried that my counters which I bought will stuck. Sigh!!!
IPO date is important, if you launched at the good market sentimental day, you are green green all the way...
if launch around this time, SURE DIE.

more backlash tmr ??
lower is not surprising.
bulls say LMIR mean "Lets Make It Rise"
bears say it mean "Lets Make It Recede"
good luck
Wow! This counter is really taking a beating on its opening day.
IPO price of $0.80 but price went as low as $0.695..so far..
Its a good time to stock up on this counter if anyone is keen but I'll give this one a pass. Reason 1) Political unstability in the country. You just don't know when a demonstration is gonna be held again which may involve destruction of public property (Read: shopping centres, yikes!) (2) If the political ground is get stable, the ground itself may get unstable. Earthquakes aplenty in this country... Ground might just open up and swallow a whole building
