It's been overtaken by events. It's now a dividend payout instead of a cap distn. Read the subsequent SGX announcement. A cap distn is actually a capital reduction exercise.
I suppose KepC no longer sees the need to tingle with its EPS/ROE and so opt for simpler direct diviend payout. It's a sure of confidence in its forward earnings.

Morning there was no sight of the players, looking at Kepcorp volumn, as compared with those at the same period yesterday. If the players should return after 2, then thats may not be a good sign leow, AK perceives only. Nonetheless, will incubating this eggs before XD.

30 c is the coy earned profit over the 2H 2007 to be given to share holder. The remainging 25 c is the cap dis, as coy hv extra cash in hand and coy hv no intention to make use of this cash to further invest or expand coy assets. Hence, coy ought to give away this extra cash as most coy did. However, if during the AGM/EGM, majority of the shareholders suggested that this extra cash must be invested to somewhere, then this 25 c cap dis would be null and void. But generally, share holders will second the proposal loh, cash is Queen mah. AK will put up my 2 hands to second the proposal in the next AGM on 25 Apr.
