out of curiosity, i checked on SJ's data and find followings:
Name | PE (After Tax) | EPSAIT | Dividend Yield | Financical Year |
SoupRestn
Add Forum Chart |
16.0 | 0.02 | 12.75 | 31 Dec 2006 |
It is amazing to me that PE of 16 with dividend yield of 12.75%... I certainly not sure of if this is true. If Divvy is 12% the price must surely go up since Fixed deposit rate is just 2.x%... Could this 12.75% be some data entries error? Anyone know?
@ hohohowk
your notes are correct, but normaly on a long-term basis undervaluation will be discovered and eliminated. furthermore it is better to be invested in a undervalued stock because the risk of a decrease of the share price is lower.
what is your opinion of soup restaurant?
Jupp,sometimes,stock value doesnt follow fundamentals....if not,all undevalued companys would be in good $$ now..true...it may be discovered 1 day...but when?1 yr,2yr ,5yr...it also depends on the value people perceive on the kind of business companies r involved in...guez u dun really understand our local f&b industry....juz dun regret should u get burned....regards...
The volume is too low for traders, especially in singapur.
Volumes for this counter are really low for a penny stock. Such counters are susceptible to manipulation. TA doesn't work well for such stocks
@Jupp
Could be.
229k is a somewhat weird number, why not 200k or 250k?
@Graf
I know ;-)
I think this is a good sign.
Then Khek Koon bought 229.000 shares (0,3064) at open market on 15-08-2007.
But Graf,
then you have to decide to go totaly out of the marktet. I think with consumer stocks like soup restaurant you are saver then stocks from the finacial sector.
@scotty
Yeah like Jupp already commented over all it doesn't look too good. Concerning SR it could be worse.
@Pension, what did you mean?
@Fairygal, yes, I am living in Germany
@scotty, I think the sentiment is a little bit nervous incause of the us-loan-crises...
Hey Jup77 and Graf,
How is the investor sentiment in Europe?? Over here in Asia, we're soiling our trousers in fear...... haha..

Jupp77, thanks for letting us know about the secondary listing in Germany. Just did a search on this topic of companies listed in other exchanges. Read about it. Be cautious when trading, esp under such market conditions.
Jupp77, are you residing in Germany?
becareful all your share maybe ended up in boiling soup, trade with care.
@iTrader,
thanks for the information.
@graf,
I think companies have to deal information like expanding plans with great care because they have to guarantee for their utterances. Even if soup restaurant make no foreign expanding the stock is undervalued. the foreign expanding is in addition a big chance for growth.
I have checked the prospectus and found the following
page 34--> There has been no prior market for our Shares and the Invitation may not result in an active or
liquid market and there is a possibility that our Share price may be volatile
Prior to Invitation, there has been no public market for our Shares. Although we have made an
application to list our Shares on the SGX-SESDAQ,
page 47 --> None of our subsidiaries are listed on any stock exchange.
@Jupp
I know about the fundamentals of SoupRest. Anyhow my clients back here are suffering faith about SR. The prospectus is very vague concerning SR's future. Defined expansion plans would be of great help.
Kind regards
GV
Hey Graf,
I am not afraid. I am still confident. The fundamental data of soup restaurant are compelling.
Please read this thread, I have wrote a lot of the basic data and the undervaluation.
Hi Jupp,
hopefully no "Stupid German Money" will be burned there.
