Hi once again to everyone, just to update on my portfolio, I have sold all my shares in Inno Pacific and some Japan Land shares. Inno Pacific went up to 5.5 cents which works out to a P/B of 1.46. I would say that is is "still early" to see Inno Pacific going up as its telecommunications business has just borke even, but I was expecting a profit instead. Anyone who wants to buy this stock can consider it at 4.5 cents and below. I am now only holding the shares converted from rights and the warrants.

Basically, what matters is the movement of a stock's price... nothing else...

If we can discover the direction of movement, what else matters?

To one who wants to make money in stocks, all interest in other aspects are only efforts to discover the direction of the next movement.

Nippecraft fundamental:

Cash & Bank Balances @ 31.12.06 = $0.09 per share ($31m divided by 351m shares). So u are buying "cash" almost $ for $ which is a steal. However the stock is not moving because the world is moving towards paperless society, & its mgt need to move into growth industry or return surplus cash to shareholders.

Rgds,

My sole interest in the stock market consists of looking for 'technically tradable' charts (note I don't say companies).

Nothing else holds my interest, so I very seldom, if ever, discuss fundamentals and related topics.

Thanks iPunter, by the way, i usually cover penny stocks as they are usually not covered by analysts and hence they may be undervalued.

Hi all, just to update on my portfolio, I am now vested in Asiatic, Chuan Hup, GMG, Inno Pacific, Japan Land, Jasper, K1 Ventures and MacarthurCook Property Securities Fund.

I sold Karin a week ago and I have bought Nippecraft today.

Fundamentals of Nippecraft:

NTA: $0.145

NAV (including intangible assets): $0.18

So even if you are conservative and exclude intangible assets, this stock certainly matches Buffett's principle (the 30% safety net, or 30%discount to book value)

ROE for the past 3 years has been climbing, although a little slow and below 10%. In case no one is aware, this company has an undisclosed sum of Section 44 Tax Credits, best to bring this matter to the attention of the Directors at the upcoming AGM.

Overall, I would say this stock is worth a buy with a target of $0.145 ( conservative estimate ).

Hi all, here is another stock pick...

JAPAN LAND

This company is the only listed company in Singapore with its business focused on the real estate sector in Japan. It currently owns 68% of Katsumi Housing Corporation, one of the largest developers of customised landed residential houses in Japan. It allows the client to have full control of what his home will look like.

FINANCIALS (extracted from Annual Report of the year ended 31 March 2006

EPS = 0.7 cent

NAV = 7 cents

ROE = 12.45%

Gearing = 1.86 times, quite high, but after the proposed upcoming rights issue, will be reduced.

Prospects

Japan's economy has bottomed out from an over a decade long recession, hence it is experiencing strong economic growth. Japan Land intends to not only invest in property developers, but also provide its clients with property development solutions such as capital funding, plot acquisition to project management and supervision. It also intends to provide asset management solutions .

Recently. it announced the investment in an Internet Data Centre(IDC) in Japan. The IDC is intended to be a commercial property specially built to hold servers, information technology and other related equipment for entities. The IDC is to be built to withstand earthquakes, fires and power outages.

The project is expected to commence construction in mid 2007, during which Japan Land is expected to receive total management fees of $15.3 million over 18 months.

Terrencefok...

oic... good for you.

In fact I've already gotten out of all counters two weeks ago when I said the market was 'sickly' as as shown by the divergence when I go through all the counters one-by-one.

So there were already early signs of weakening when the  STI was still  making  record highs  about a fortnight ago.

I see that the losses in the last few days can be substantial for those  with  holdings.  Buy no worry... they'll climb back eventually... :)

Hi iPunter, I am ok, never suffer much bruise, except on the first day when I sold global voice for a loss of $2000. But I am still ok, never get margin call, thanks for your concern. How are you?

I like MacArthurcook Property Securities Fund as it aims to deliver high yields of around 8%, compared with some of the listed REITS that are now only giving 5%. Based on the half-year results, they are offering an annualised dividend yield of 8.7% in Australia and earnings are up over 200%. Also, this counter invests in unlisted REITS which offer higher yields as well as 'special' types of properties like carparks, hospitals etc.....they now have a well diversified geographical location for their properties.
