Beside the special dividend of 90 cents (before tax), there is still a final dividend of 2.5 cents (before tax). Hence Investsmart is correct.Smiley

dont think u will have the DIV. the DIV will be used to pay for the rights shares,
else u will have the DIV of $100 and have to pay the Rights money.
cant remember how much it is but i think $370 for 1 rights.
so first calculation of 1234567 is correct

Yes you are correct with the calculation.  In actual fact you will also have a portion of DIV of about $100.  Hence, overall paper gain is about $900.

For example:

i) You vested 5000shares @ $2.39 (total amount: $12,000).

ii) Hence, after XA date, you will have 15000 shares (ie. 5000shares times 3). With the closing price of $0.855,  you will have $12,800.  That is, a paper gain of $800.

iii) Correct me if I'm wrong.

For those who does not know, today is the XA date, therefore price drop cos the stock is split into 3. it has a 1:3 bonous issue. PLS GO AND READ IT UP.

LKH is principally a cyclical stock, whose company's fundamentals does not seem to be as sound as some other firms in the construction industry. In fact, although the general construction industry is under-going a revival in its fortunes, and prospects, it does not mean its stocks will certainly shoot to the sky, and maintain its upward momentum consistently. Generally, the construction industry's fundmentals are relatively weaker compared to other industries, and hence, holders of construction stocks have to accept the higher inherent risk, given its cyclicality and its relative weakness of the industry. No matter how good a stock, it still has an intrinsic value, that's important. Its current price, is probably more reflective of its intrinsic value. I hope not many people margined on this. All the best.

The rights will be converted to normal share and trade accordingly.

Hi Investsmart,

Still not sure to go for rights or just take the dividends .

Are we able to trade these rights per the mother share price ?

Not too good at this , can you share your thoughts on this issue.

thanks

Divide $2.48 by 3 and the sum come out to be $0.82.  This value is still relatively low for a construction and developer with NAV of about 50 cents.

I would hold on to the placement shares, as the next few years earning for construction companies and properties developers would still be strong.  The NAV after the placement would about 0.50 and PE is currently still very low.
