hi hikitty,
glad u still hold some hope on sc ...
true -i looked at the charts, it looks good. but probably lack some factors for it to kickstart .... i am retaining my little hope for it to sail north one day

Holiday time soon so time to get on SC b4 it sails off
Hi waterfalls
True, the charts look promising, and your sharp reading. But, there is no movement north, a hint of a breakout. What makes you think a breakout is pending.?In fact, two brokers previously suggested that possibility more than two weeks ago. Buy now at support prices, before SC sails away!!!
Hi kodiak
Hv not given up hope on SC. Just stating my view - hope to be proved wrong.
Dear all, based on my past few weeks monitoring, I agree with Hulumas that now is the time to buy in the shares. Buy in price will be from $0.29 to $0.3. The BB wont let it drop past $0.285 as compared to the last dip.
hi hikitty,
i noticed that u have changed your stance towards sc - u hv given out hope on it??
Dear Readers,
It comes to my collection time to this share again ha... ha... ha...
Hi Hulumas
Sorry if the following remarks offend you. SC will take many many years to become a non-speculative stock. Some of us may not be alive to see that happen. Reasons for it being speculative: (a) An ever growing float size (b) Weak fundamentals - has not been profitable every year (c) no earnings visibility. Imagine SC called for rights issues in three years,(if my memory is not faulty) since 2002. With an ever growing float size, how much north can its share price move? Think about that.
Dear Hikitty,
I seriously consider, Star Cruises Limited is the invisible future DIAMOND with the BANANA price!!! I wish I could buy the whole shares, if only I could!!!
Great..The chart looks promising ! Possible breakout soon.
Must learn to read between the lines and make your own judgement call. Sad to say these recommendations are at times used as 'an edge' on retail investors. Else why do they always have a tiny whinny disclaimer message at the bottom for every recommendation if its going to be like what they say. :p.
You BUY [so that they can] SELL.
Don't know whether this broker's info is good or bad.
"Goldman Sachs has downgraded its call on Star Cruises
Ltd to "neutral" from "buy", deeming the stock fairly valued at the current
price. "
Hi Hulumas
At the rate SC is cruising, hyperlong hold before it rebounds may be another four years, if its previous dip from 2005 to 2006 (two long years) is used as a guide. High in Jan 2005 was then 0.385 and low 18 cts.. High in Jan 2007 was 57cts (64cts and below - low volumes). It's just my humble suggestion (no offence intended) not to buy any more SC as it dips - it's as good as throwing money away at SC which has recurring "weak" fundamentals . Why fall into the invisible hands of the BBs by picking up their crumbs? Not sure whether we can live for several decades to see SC turn around - the turnaround be weak by then.
Dear Readers,
I say no more, but keep accumulation while it dips and hold for several decades investment time horizon!!!!!!!! I am proud to say that it will be my major most potential static hyper long term share holding in my stocks portfolio!!!!!!!!

Hi zenki81
Genting did not pay a premium for SC's 25% in the IR - that's why SC shares did not move north after the announcement (details shd be on SGX website). Looks as if all SC investors will have to wait indefinitely for SC to move north unless there's a fresh catalyst (such ase Stanley buying up more SC shares or SC having more shares in the Macau investment)
Hi,
Does anyone here has the update on the meeting on the Disposal of the IR shares? Would this news push up SC? Thank. :)

I was wondering where have u disappeared.
At least now i know u are working full time.Hah,i rem.in IT profession.
I have my selection criteria when buying shares but i respect ur decision to vest in SC.
Geojam, yes I am though not much and for very long term. That's why I'm in this thread. It really doesn't make sense that I seem to 'talk down' this counter when I'm vested. Actually I am just trying to stay neutral because I noticed some forumers here are overly passionate and optimistic.
btw, some sort of 'jinx' statement by you the other time when you remarked that I could post in the day. That 2 days I was on most of the time cos' I was free. Then your statement came (coincidentally) followed by I got so busy that there were almost no post for one week!!! So, I keep my fingers crossed that it won't happen again today since I'm posting in the day again. Most of my post happens around mid night because I take SJ as my bedtime reading!!
