so Chartered is coming down on Monday??
Quick profit comes with high risk.
But such risk can be reduced by only buy on weakness and leave with profit on strength while others chasing it.
Its good that it chiong today. But urge caution... Chartered is relatively volatile.
Wow! A rebounce to 1.29 today as predicted by Maxsyn last nite!
AMD issuing profit warning later tonite (down 7% in pre-market now) and Samsung reported 8% decline in Q4 earnings today. Earlier this week, TSMC and UMC reported lower Q4 earnings too.
Personally, I still think CSM will hover between 1.20 - 1.40 till September. And starts to chiong from October on.
Clap ! Clap ! Clap ! i-phone to the rescue ...
up 6 bids now...
As expected, a rebound today....
Expect it to go up to some analysts' target of 1.90 this 2007 !!!
CSM is a speculative one .... Its 45nm chip collaboration with IBM takes off in Nov '07. That's why I expect this counter to be shiok from Q3 on.
It is down now in Nasdaq in tune to its SGX close price of 1.23 today .... If the ratio is correct, it will close in Nasdaq at 7.82 tonite. Its trading at 7.94 now.
my prediction it will up by 6 bids.
tomorrow? why tomorrow? I don't think it's that soon.
Yup, it's a Tech rally year this with Vista from Q3 onwards ....
I think a technical rebound may happen tomorrow.
TA charts show a downtrend now
CSM is unlikely to pay dividends anytime soon. See my post on Companies with S44 Credit Balances
Chartered to me is only for trading buy and sell, not the stock for long term holding.
Judging by the great daily volumes of Chartered, it is obvious that its among the funds' and institutions' darling 'concubine'. Now that it's falling rapidly, it may become a favourite catch for other funds and institutions... :)
...agree with singaporegal as CSM still unable to break S$1.90 for recent years, not to mention able to catch up with its listed px (S$3.60 range?) ... not vested
I don't mean to be a wet blanket on Chartered. I can't remember a time when Chartered performed according to what the analysts expect.
2007 will indeed be a Tech rally.....Wall Street's analysts certainly think so......Chartered to rally in 2007 ...
