Allco announce their financial statement today which I was not mentally prepare for it. Anyway their dividend yield is now over 10%, highest among REITs. If no bad news, why the beating on the stock.

Allco is not in manufacturing. They get their income from rental. Could it be a scandal? Fraud?

Yeah, awful. that's what happen to my in-no-value. Big sold off right before the company warning. SGX never ask why the big drop only ask why the big rise. I admire Nick for his shorting skill.

I queue at 0.63 which is 10% dividend yield. No REIT is that high now. But again how low is low is a good question? I think it's time for allco to explain why the big drop.

Allco Reit's gearing is around 33%. NAV of $1.34 means at $0.70, it is trading at a ridiculously steep discount to NAV of 47.8%. Yield is close to 9%.

Valuations and ratios wise, I would say it is a strong buy. Market sentiment plus the fact that some institution could be unloading prevents me from averaging down.

Based on the last announcement, Capital Group purchased 1,771,490 shares from 19 Dec 07 to 18 Jan 08. Don't know whether they are selling again.

I bought at $1.07. Haiz...just hold and see how it goes lor...

Like I said, some REITS will become better buys in due time of panic

The time has not come yet, according to Jim Rogers

Normally REITS come doen hard as people park money for retirement, divi, etc

Some of them will therefore panic in such times

Gearing = Financial leverage : Use of debt to increase the expected return on equity. Financial leverage is measured by the ratio of debt to debt plus equity.
