Thanks alot elfinchilde. Will monitor BBs movements these 2 days.  Yea, HB (not vested) is already up sufficiently, but ALG is quite stagnant.

We, small timers, are always at a disadvantage compared to those BBs as they will usually get the news first.

hm, l_tan888, i can't tell you what to do, since it has to be your own call... but for me, i'm playing AG as a short trade. Currently looking to out friday, or monday when its results are out.

all depends on the trend tho. In actual technical terms: If its results are going to be spectacular, you'll see run up tmrw and friday with little/no late afternoon selling, as BBs always get the new first. that's your cue that monday and aft likely to go up still (ie, good results expected). But if friday late afternoon/mon morning you start to see dumping, that's your cue to run too. Track the large buy/sell vols.  Does anyone know what time AG releases its results?

BBs starting to play (think they were in HB this morning and starting to shift attention now...), so let's see what they do. :) for today, good to sit and wait, perhaps.

Hi elfinchilde,

Since the buying volume is almost double the selling volume, I think I'll hold on until their FYE next week.  What's your comments?

hm, and just a thought to add on to l_tan888's post....

Track the BB's movements via actual price/vol charts. Follow what they do, not what they say.

and keke, most props and banks are way over the analysts' price targets now really.

hullo jasjasjas....

you can sell whenever you think profit is enough, really. :)

just some tech updates for this counter: BBs are starting to play. One buy order of 115 lots just in at ~11.57 am today.

Very strong buying vol. Even excluding the 115 lots, buyers outweigh sellers abt 2 to 1.

Elf vested at 1.68. Make your own calls, people! And good luck whichever way. :)

Credit Suisse gave the $1.33 price.  However, all these houses always never gave supporting reasons nor evidence.  Just take their words and credibility with a pinch of salt.

ahbear, the institutional fair price target is 1.33.

not sure if they'll revise it tho. and sorry, can't rem which brokerage house gave that...think it's merril lynch.

FYE is on 26th feb, that will give some interesting play from wed. yep singaporegal, signals aren't completely clear, but what is clear is that some kind of momentum is building...think will have to be fast to catch it, have an inkling it might do a ho bee or cdlh and run up in one day....

Any report on this?

Hope the annual report on 28 Jan helps :)

TA-wise, Allgreen is looking interesting.

Bollinger bands are tight (indicating that large price movements will occur soon) and the Acc/Dist is uptrending.

One little note of caution though - the Chaikin isn't too bullish.

So keep a close watch on this counter and see what happens.

The following phenomenon seems common and experienced by most people:

Usually when one sells - price will go up further

But when one does not sell - price will stay put or worse goes down

Hi Elfinchilde,

Thanks for your valuable advice on ALLGREEN.  Yes, I put a sell order for 160 lots at 1 single price above bid and was not successful.  I'd prefer to trade online (POEMS), otherwise, the commission will be more via my broker.

I too agree that ALLGREEN is presently overpriced.  The funny thing is should CITY DEV climbs, many a time, ALLGREEN will also follow as well.  I'm sure CITY DEV won't disapppoint at this current hot property sentiment.  Anyway, I've held on to ALLGREEN for almost 10 years already (since their IPO) and if not for their recent tax credit return (which I got about 55 lots of rights issue), I would only be able to break even.

The problem with stocks is when you sell, and if it goes up thereafter, heart pain.  You never know.  FOr example, this week, just made a mistake. Sold 20 lots of CAPITALAND at $7.15 on Monday.  By Friday's close, it increased to $7.50.  Although I don't loose, but I could also have made another $7k more of ang pow money if I had held on for another 4 days.  Sigh.  You win some and you loose some.

If you recall my posts in "online brokerages", you would have known my dispute with POEMS.  So, now, I may sign up with DBS Vickers.  Their online charges are similar to POEMS.  Any forumers here have any opinions (good or bad) about DBS Vickers?  Please share.

hey l_tan888,

citydev acts as a proxy lead indicator for AG because the former's a diversified property blue chip, geared towards luxury end. so normally, the flow follows that luxury props lead to a trickle down effect on mid-range props, which is what AG does.

abt your qn with the 160 lots unsucessful sell: are you queuing all at one price above current market bid? How i dispose of large holdings is to give my broker a range to sell in, and/or to sell at buyer's price.

'cos 160 lots is really quite big for market to swallow at one shot, so it's easier to sell if you split them up so that retailers can buy as well as institution?

tech-wise: A/D up for 3 days, C/O for two. bollies tight. indicates a breakout soon.

This is expected since AG's FYE is on 26th feb. the co, like the rest of the prop stocks here, will likely post a good profit. coupled with bullish news just today that midpriced props are rising. But FA-wise, AG is overvalued already and trading at a premium.

So taking all this into acct, i'd expect AG to rise from wed to next mon (a perfect contra trade if you ask me), thereaft, unless their results are that good or market posts some fantastic news, it is likely to stagnate.

If you're looking for price targets, from fibo and wave patterns: could queue a buy at 1.65 or current 1.67, and fibo gives the sell at abt 1.91. The psych resistance level is ~1.85.

pls note that the above is just my opinion ah, do make your own buy/sell calls. Also note that I use price targets as guides only, and will move in accordance with the trend instead of fixed targets.

btw, I wouldn't personally hold AG as an FA stock already since it has run up since mid jul and has overstretched its full year valuations already. This is just a short term TA stock for me.

From my past observation, the price of ALLGREEN very often goes in tandem with CITY DEV.

TA perspective: looking ready for a breakout upwards soon. hehe.

FA basis: need to be careful. Brokerage house call for fair value is only 1.33. so stock is already at a premium, trading entirely on momentum.
