doesnt sound like such a good deal now.

shareholders' cut of the deal would always be limited to 0.408 or worse regardless of what happens to the ipo.

if they sell it above minimum valuation,  the excess  would go towards paying transaction fees, business managers and asset manager  ie macquarie.

and we know who's going to get the largest cut

maybe the assets were nv worth that much.

just browsed through the reports.

think i rmb seeing discount rate of 1% to value future cashflows.

for those familiar with dcf, u should know that if the discount rate is low enough, almost any valuation can be reached

Recommend to sell and then sell it below NAV to make another profit. JGartside, please log a complaint to MAS & SGX. Tks!

CIMB is independent advisor to Board and made recommendation to change fees to MACQ, as well as sell asset at 95% of NAV.  They are conflicted with role as IPO underwriter since acting on both seller side of MIIF and buyer side of APTT. Why no SGX and MAS question?  See prospectus on Opera. Also, no regulatory approval in Taiwan.  Full risk to new shareholder.

Heard that the ipo of the Asian pay tv will be around end of this month, the pricing of this ipo will affect how the share price move. I would suggest to hold as I feel that it should be priced higher than expected.

That is always what happen in the real world, banker are the one that are rich, our money in the bank will shrink  more and more with the inflation.

Sad that only 40% voted against, the manager will hv fat exit fee plus cheap assets which could be ipo in taiwan for another round of profit. The banker is always greedy, stucking all the $$$...

Think the share share will start to move to nav of $0.6x. Shareholders make few cents but the bank make millions. :(

I was against the resolution 6, not because they are trying to kill the goose. It is because they have significantly reduce the valuation, and now come up with the success fees for divestment, it is like cheating the shareholder for what they did not really put in effort to do.

Just imagine in 2011 the valuation of the 3 investment is still 854million, and in 2012 it have reduce to 732.6million. It is a 15% reduction, and anything above 695million they will be able to have an excess share of success fees for divestment, isn't that strange, not forgeting Miaoli which is always  profitting and having 100% control  by MIIF  and they just don't payout the divident and valuation is always declare as 0 and event after getting the carbon credit the report still show a 0 valuation which should not be the case.

If the letter mention if the divestment they can get is 1000million then they will have a share in succes fees for divestment, then I will consider approved it, now they are selling even lower then the valuation that have significantly reduce and ask for payment isn't that funny. That is why I have being pro for the new directors, but it fail and now seems like they are trying to clear away all the pass history by divestment of the investment and get a lump sum.

Anyone attending the AGM in the coming Friday? About resolution 6, it stated that it will wind down after selling all the assets and return the money to shreholders.

But why should we kill the goose while it still lay golden eggs? It is  generating stable  income and the dividend yield (excluding the special dividend) is around 9.5% at present share price.

Let all vote against it! There isn't any other counters that give such a good dividend.
