i didn't check it recently, but i know that i would have made a killing if i bought in at the IPO price. just as elf mentioned, some fund managers actually view Asia or SE Asia as a whole region. if they decide to enter, they will put in money in the whole region. likewise, when they pull out, they will pull out from the whole region.

therefore SGX gain would also benefit Bursa Msia

Giantlow...

Not to worry... The best tools are actually the simple tools.

Just like in photography, in the hands of a good creative photographer, a basic no-frills and unsophisticated camera without all the bells and whitles can help him produce really superb results if he follows the time-tested basic rules... :)

My favourite Stock Market Books

Bursa Malaysia is relatively sleepy compared to SGX right?

among all the TA gurus here, i think i am a TA simpleton.

cos i only know how to look at simple price volume charts.

for pple who are quite bored and are looking for a good book to read. i recommend a book called "Practical Speculation" by Victor Niederhoffer & Laurel Kenner. i have only read halfway and so far its quite interesting. available in our libraries

After I had known that my friend refused to buy Msian share, I decided to quit trading in Msian Shares when I reached No-win_No lost situation. Another Msian friend told me a story of an MP owning a factory in JB asked his workers to buy the share of the co. while he secretly sold off leaving the poor workers holding the baby. Because of these two facts, even though Msian shares dropped to very low prices before they are taken off the OTC by the Msian govt, I refused to buy even a single Msian share even though the temptation was very great. To my surprise my friend who had refused to buy Msian share jumped in and got "drown" during the OTC saga.

I trade on guts instincts lor, Elf .... And predict which counters the market will love in future by checking out their relevant industry. Then I wait for the Big Boys to chiong the price up. It works for me without TA so far.

I have also learnt never to trust 'Price Target' set by the Big Boys. They are sharks trying to create waves to drown us (ikan billis) when they suddenly dump the counters they just 'Upgraded'. So, we should just ride their waves a bit longer and get out before they exit. HeeHee!!

heyhey, sam billywows wisely! welcome to the Fellowship! :))) *leaf badge!*

hehe. US market is impt...STI follows the DOW for leads like a little doggie. So any singaporean investor has to look to the DOW for clues.

singaporegal is the true blue TA specialist, actually. :) Salute to our Arwen!

yeah, market way too high. Genting's crazy; talk about a feeding frenzy. And haha, with a property glut shaping up in 2009/2010, i'm sooo gonna want to buy property then man...

Elf has locked in profits and sitting pretty on jan's accounts already. that's why bored...hope i won't be tempted to go in again man. must resist. >~<

billywows, contrarians always interest me. Templeton for instance has a contrarian fund that regularly outperforms S&P and DOW. Mind sharing a little abt how you trade, and what you look for? :)

Glad to have your attention with US market, guys ..... Nothing much to post at nite, so need to inject some 'excitements' and colors in this forum lor. HeeHee!

You guys are true blue TA specialists, something I have learnt here. But I trade differently as a contrarian.

Be cautious of the high market now .... dun be too greedy ya.

Nostradamus is Gandalf the White?

Billywows with his frequent Dow updates sounds like Sam Wisely! The loyal and steady sidekick!
