Hi Pinnacle,

I think i will follow the "no news mean good news" approach.. Shldn't expect any major annoucement from US side tonight, and base on past few weeks trend.. should see Dow up marginally tonight if no major negative news... but not much gain as i would agree with u that there should be quite a fair bit of profit taking just before the Mkt closed..

Tonight will be profit taking and then stay sideline, awaiting for Fed summary report on Friday before more action in the market. Smiley

What do you reckon?

A letter from Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, in which he said the Fed was "prepared to act as needed" to ensure credit market troubles do not adversely affect the economy, added to investor speculation for a much hoped-for interest rate cut.

Every time an assurance from the Fed...there will be calmness and people will buy...

Most of us are just waiting for the BIG DROP.....

so

we can pick up good counters at a cheapo price.

If there is no selling, then no lobang, no cheapo price to pick.

No use telling "heated frogs" to sell on rallies...

Because they are unable to conceive of a long bear market...

to them, falls, no matter how serious, are "just corrections"...    Smiley

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks rebounded at the market open on Wednesday, helped by a pullback in the yen and a search for beaten-down shares, a day after Wall Street suffered its worst slide in three weeks.

Today is 100% a whiplash effect due to shortists/hedge funds

Lesson to all Spore investors is don;t sell, those who panic will suffer loss

Shortist looks for such assume downturn to press down prices, epecially full time pros.

Their time is almost up already as mkt stabilise by the day

Yup, downward spiral.
Sentiments down,
Charts down,
Credit supply down,
Interest coming down,
Long Term CPF Special Account & Medisave also down (peg to the long term bonds rate 2.8%),

The only thing up is the draw age from 62-65. Aiyo.

So far, no impact of US Sub prime on insurance company. I find it hard to believe.
Sorry I have digressed.
