actually, i believe he is ousted bcos of some director mandate! The resignation could be done to save his face rather than announcing to the board that he will be kicked out.

The chairman, Wing Hak Man, has alleged that the signature in his supposed resignation letter has been forged, the Today newspaper quoted Wing as saying.
"It was a forged signature. I first heard about my resignation from a friend who read about it in Singapore newspapers," Wing told the paper.
Bio-Treat announced Wing's resignation on Oct 11, the same day the company restated its accounts for the financial year to June 2006 due to material differences between sales and cost of sales it reported earlier.
Apart from his forged signature, Wing said he did not authorize the sale of his 50 mln shares at $1.08 each in January this year. The company had said then that the proceeds from the sale will be distributed to employees as compensation for a cancelled stock option.
Wing has lodged a police complaint against the company, which he co-founded in 1992.
Report is in "Today" (30 Oct). Chairman claimed that his resignation letter was a forgery, and that his share holding had been trimmed through a sale that he was unaware of..
