Only a sentence....
"BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK" (^_^)
Hi rayphua,
Thanks for all your unselfish sharings. Many of us here have benefited in one way or the other.
Don't think you should feel pressured when you are posting in the forum. It's up to all of us reading here to decide what to do after reading each other's opinions.
Thanks once again for your foresight.
Cheers.
Ray,
think we can always arrange sometime to chat in the future.
i tend to be more towards the TA school of thought, so thats why i am interested in learning more.
so any views on China PowerPlus?
Opps...threaded = traded. Tired.
Btw, will try to look out for some nice buys today if possible. I believe there could be some anticipation about how the dow would open tonight.
Yes, today's market is very thinly threaded. I suggest forum mates to take some profit today, I already did. Counters losing momentum. Come to think of it, it is easier giving a buy call than a sell call.
J3r0m3 and Synnexo: I'm mostly a momentum trader, and sometimes a mid-term holder for ipo private placement counters where I hold substantial amts. I ride counters with momentum (momentum does not necessarily mean high volume counters) and get off when it turns. Investment time frame from 2 days to 15 days, with an average of 5 days. This method has worked well for me as % gains are usually large because I let them ride, and losses are cut rather quickly without any remorse. What I like about this is that there is little opportunity cost as I do not get into counters without strength and trend and direction. The thing about momentum is that, first you need to get on the right side of the momentum and second, you need to try to avoid whipsaws. So I use 4 indicators which I customize myself to minimize those whipsaws. There are 2 other common indicators that I use for support, which are the acc/dis, and mfi, which are easily available in any charting package.
Then there is tape reading, or the use of trading psychology, which I think is extremely important.
I'm glad to know that there is some interest in technical charting from forum members here. It would be crazy to put your money into something if you're not at least familiar with the basics of chart reading. Of course the fundamentals are important as well. If we do ever get a chance to chat, I can explain more.
Todays market seems like very slow
Hi ray, not to forget to thank you. I got in the train too. *cheers*
Shall we cheers now or after the profit making??? hehe (Just want to crack some joke) lam

Hi Rayphua,
Me interested in your technique too.
Can impart some skills to us?
hi Ray,
interested in finding out what are some of the indicators you employ to filter out the stocks?
also how is your trading strategy like? are you a scalper or investor kind?
pardon the many questions, i just feel like learning more about TA and also trading strategy.
Hi Coolboy, it's not Digiland's time yet.
any body likes Digiland?
Hey Ray,
I am very new to Technical Analysis, but I am sure that it should not be an easy task to filter out among hundreds of counters, analyze those shortlisted one by one, and decide the potential buying opportunities. I am sure that all of us appreciate your effort and selfless sharing. No matter whether we make extra profit from you Buy Calls or end up losing...it is the the Spirit of Sharing & Helping Others that really shines!
To those Ray's followers, guess we need to think a way to thank Ray for this effort... don't you agree?!
Idea's please...

fyi only guys.
cambridge is a dividend type of stock.
it never really cheongs that much.
the BB likes to take this stock up ever so gently but he can bring him down quickly, but you are right it is trading at its all time high 97 cents currently.
better entry would be at 94 or 945 cents which will be new
resistance turned support for this counter.
good luck vested in this one more for dividend.
