dangerous to buy @ 2.08 maybe lower you can consider it.
CBClow ( Date: 12-Oct-2010 14:59) Posted:
u skip the price what. like if today u close at 2.08, then tmr open 2.10...then can proceed...gaps can imply strong trend coming...

can explain the gap ups ma? i am sure a lot of us dont understand how it works. i only know pre opening there will be a matching session, and if buyers more than sellers, then gap up happens. but how can a gap up avoid the resistance?

i remember liao. just like how STI has the ETF for trading. DJIA uses futures. ok thanks
BullishTempo ( Date: 12-Oct-2010 15:07) Posted:
The only way to short or long the index is to short or long the futures. Hope that helps. Oh... ok.. but just be mindful of that 22 million resistance at 2.10
bladez87 ( Date: 12-Oct-2010 15:03) Posted:
i know about indices. but not that clear on futures. if i think tmr DJIA will fall, i might as well short the index today. what for short the futures of DJIA? anyway the 2.07 wall very strong leh. so long still 3.5k. someone accumulating happily. i might just queue for it also. but sian sia if like this buy at 2.07, i lose commission Zzz

sell down sell down
see la... I wanted to short but never come true.... sad la... what happen to the club??? is it still on? I have CFD liao
but if they are to buy a lot pre market, there has to be sellers to sell them. so what happens, is that after today, the Q will be reset, then tmr before the Q actually forms physically during trading period, they clear it when it is still premarket before it can form a strong barrier. is that what happens? like now got 22m. tmr maybe only 5m remember to Q at 2.1. so they buy more than 5m at a price higher than 2.1 and will 1 shot wipe out that 5m and thus opening at 2.1 or higher right?
BullishTempo ( Date: 12-Oct-2010 15:02) Posted:
What I mean is, the BBs can buy a lot tomorrow at pre-market opening so it gap-up to 2.10 or 2.11 so they can avoid hitting the resistance. May or may not happen. It depends on what happens from now till 5pm.

You are not an index trader I can tell. Indices can also be traded like stocks, for example, if you think Dow Jones will go up tomorrow, you will go long, otherwise you will short it. So people who trade Dow Jones Futures are trying to predict whether Dow Jones will rise or fall the next day.  |
