hi elf, you got me curious with your post "plus i'm always being monitored and tracked. like, can't leave country without permission etc (for my safety)". Wah.. does this mean when you leave the elfin land, there is a secret escot watching over you, like emperors Qianlong/Kangxi when they tour jiang nan.... sounds really siong.. will they follow you to the loo 2?

I agree, except for the likes of SPC, the rest of blue chips particularly the GLCs, I think the upside is rather limited.  Why risk the investment? All it takes is a bird flu, a terrorist attack, more sand sale boycotts and that may be good enough reason for the big boys to pull out.. and we are back to STI @1500 which was not too long ago...  r we now in a state of "irrational exuberance"..?  Dont get me wrong, I am not saying we are at a bubble, I think the STI is certainly going to be above 3000 for at least 2007, it is the upside that I think is rather limited.  And I agree that for reasons best known to the foreign money, i.e perhaps it is becos our market is a good place to safe keep/invest their dollars, the play was the blue chips..

hm, ok, thanks singaporegal. about same as mine then... counter to market, i've been paring down holdings actually...sold off spc and innoval last week. left the FA counters macq and edmi.

and yea, holding onto TA ho bee too. hehe. intending to sell it tomorrow or day after tho. it's a contra for me.

'cos. i don't know. but my reading of the market is not totally bullish, it's more precisely a mixed market...of course i could be totally wrong..

Hi elfinchilde,

I'm slightly cautious about the market now. The volatility in the past 2 weeks kinda spooked me.

I'm now vested in Ho Bee... that's about it.

as my name is chinkiasu, I should be a 1. .  this is for stocks I am suspicious of.. and never heard of.. but for the likes of SPC, I think I have gone toward a 9... but its against my basic nature..  I should be a 6..

welcome icecube400, i trust you would not melt with the warmth around ...

hey singaporegal, would like your views on the current market actually. or if you could give an idea? are you movings funds into or out of the market?

scale rating: for me it depends if FA or TA trades. If it's an FA trade, i'm very strict on requirements, esp if they're pennies. (prob a 4-5?) If it's TA, anything goes as long as criteria met (7?). Do i get a combined rating then? hehe.

hello mister icecube, welcome to the forums! :))))

and to this thread in particular. hehe. being adopted is an elfin effect. i'm always adopting people as pets in real life too. esp the BPC (beyond parental control) boys. sometimes their parents will refer them to me, so i take 'em little ones under my wing. they make good pets. :)))

I'm probably a 7.

I take risks but only calculated ones (through TA rules).

i am rather different from the rest, if i like the stk e.g. SPC, i will be a 9.5

if i dun like the stk, i will be a 3

Been catching up with all the postings on this thread. Quite interesting - people being adopted, the ever on-going debate of human relationships, trips to India and JB...

geojam - on your survey, I would say I am a 7.

Hi fellow SJ members,

We are involve with the share mkt in a certain way.

I like to conduct a simple survey, hope for participation,to see the risk appettite.

On a scale of  0 to 10,where 0 is very risk adverse and 10 is very risk taker, where will u put urself?

I put myself at 7.5 to 8.

dear elf & geojam,

some clues from her earlier posts on this thread:  she travels to india on biz .. (and she hates it : which means she has to go frequently?).....
