Just dig my archive and found this quote:CapitaMalls Asia Ltd: Focus on deploying balance sheet

Summary: CapitaMalls Asia Ltd (CMA) has focused on progressively deploying its strong balance sheet. It has already substantially delivered on its S$800m to S$1b 2H10 investment target with two major endeavors in Singapore (the Bedok site) and China (a 66% effective stake in a prime shopping mall and office development in Shanghai). In Malaysia, CMA recently announced that it will divest the Gurney Plaza extension to its newly listed CapitaMalls Malaysia Trust for MYR 215m (S$89.2m). Further divestments, such as of ION Orchard in Singapore, are also possible in 2011. We note that with continuing divestments, CMA’s directly owned retail portfolio is fairly immature, but this is partially offset through fee income from its listed REITs. We continue to like CMA’s retail expertise, Asia exposure, and the upside from the deployment of its balance sheet. Our previous BUY rating and S$2.40 fair value (pegged at parity to RNAV) is UNDER REVIEW.(Meenal Kumar)

Let's see the capitalmallasia property in China which is underconstruction.

Capitalmallasia has a big dropped of revenue and net earning on Q3 after a good result posted on Q2.

That could be the monetary tightening policy has been gradually released by China.

In Q4 China has more action to cooldown the property market as we can see the rate hike on Oct.

I do believe the investors are fear to see capitalmallasia net earning will be continued reduce on Q4.

If I forecast Capitalmallasia Q4 net earning might be 30million.

Let us calculate the PE of this counter on year 2010.

Q4 30000000
Q3 68,024,000
Q2 113,061,000
Q1 96,784,000

2010 net profit = 307869000

Issue paid out share = 3884000000

EPS = 0.079 PE = 23.21 (with price 1.84) compare to the history PE 18.41 you can see the share value of  is still 22% higher than history PE.

That could be the reason investors sold down this counter. However, the fundamental of CapitalmallAsia in term of debt and cash flow is still strong.

Logically shortists daren't short this counter due to all time low. You can read back the thread. You can see the share price keep dropping but most of the retail buyer keep buying because of all time low and blue chip. BBs has no profit at all why they sell down and let us to pick? some more the volume was so high and a lot of big amount traded to sell in one shot. I'm not BB i can't foresee the bottom but I may consider to buy when I see the volume back to normal about 10 days. Good luck all my friends.

Hello, Interesting observation: what is the lowest point, or price is ur target or are u thinking about short this counter ?

wangwa      ( Date: 18-Dec-2010 15:11) Posted:

have u ever noticed, Friday selldown is Capitaland, with 2 million sells at closing at 3.62. Close to 8 million dollars thrown.

Thursday selldown CMA, 28 million lots transacted.

These BBs hate stocks that start with Capital***, maybe these funds lose big on this before, or trying to close book before yr end by not holding stocks that start with Capital***.

Maybe next Monday, these ppl will repeat the selldown on CMA again..

i am holding lots at average price of 2.03.

I do not intend to cut in any other instances.

It is already so damned low, so why sell it to other ppl to collect it more lower than me?

they create fear by selling large lots at one go.

When retail investors see this, they are scared and think something bad is going to happen.

Everybody start throwing and these people eventually get to buy back at lower price

Just my tots..
