He and other directors did the same thing last year with the 2012 warrants. They are basically arbitraging - converting the wrts and then sell the shares for a profit. In a way, they are also funding the company. Short term selling pressure for sure but buying sentiment could come from WE which is expected to cheong today, strange as it may seem.
I don't think it has anything to do with the new wrts.

MD Jimmy Chang sold 2m shares after converting the 2013 wrts earlier on. Looks like he is starting to arbitrage but I thought it is a bit early. Maybe he is preparing for the new wrts coming out soon?
Let's hope the Myanmar news will propel NT higher tomorrow. Singtel looks like a solid contender among the last 12.

Looks like Singtel chances are better because they partner with Myanmar Telephone and KBZ.

Bonus warrants don't need shareholders mandate, so nothing to expect from AGM. Just wait for them to lodge offer document to SGX for approval. Then wait about 3 weeks for SGX to approve, then wait for cum date, ex date, etc. Could take a few months... maybe coincide with Myanmar Telco award in June??
