Is Biosensors a good buy?

I have said wat I need and want to say weeks before le.. but then seems like ppl r too bullish to listen to my SELL call... Stay sideline if u r still considering buying.. I think it will go down to 55c.. Long Funds will only come in to buy when they see value.. but apparently, now they stil dun see any value.. or mayb the the current price to higher than that "inherent" value.

Caveat emptor applies.. Just a general reminder.. remain sideline if u dun have any long position.. the mkt is not bottoming out any time now.. still got quite a long way down..

 

Yes, patience is the word. Wait until BIG drops below 60 cents then considering to buy. Cheers.

 

 

In times like this when the general market condition is heading south, it is not surprising that most counters are down. 

 

I just came back from Malaysia. Sad to see BIG drop so jialat. As for profit this year, its a tricky question. Based on my own estimated calculations, it should be at least US$25m for full FY2008 and at least US$100m for FY2009. BIG only provided their own company's operational profit. BIG's other business operations is like a franchise Macdonalds. This stock need a lot of patience.

BIG is closing its Fiscal Year tis month ... wat is your personal take on this coming reporting? Good / Neutral / Bad ..... Hopefully the result & outlook forcast will be good if not ..... then aiyah ....

Last friday DOW kanna wack again, see if can pick up BIG cheap tomorrow .....

Come to think of it, to get general offer like in the case of Ascott is a very good thing under such market condition. Hopefully those vested get good news soonest!

I will stay sideline a bit longer as I have noticed; bigger lots are being dumped while only retail investors (small lots) purchased.

 

 

I think everyone's advice is well intentioned whether for or against. Tried the .66 but missed it and got a little at .67...My original purchase price is very very high...Thanks Novena

I guess you can try to time the market but for this stock, the potential is in the possibility of a takeover by a major US company. Besides, in a downturn period like this, where else is it meaningful to park your money. A potential stock can suddenly change in stock value - it is like lightning - you don't know when it strikes, how big is the impact, where it strikes - but when it comes, it comes.

 

in the sense of economics...wad AK_Francis said has a point too...when u buy in now..its like the Sentosa IR - Gent Int...the opportunity costs doesn't equate the wait sometimes

 

BIG will only see profit in mid 2009. No point to hold the stock at this moment, to stuck your cash. Buyingin in late Feb 09 is still not late.

Likewise, for Sentosa IR GenInt, no point to waste your cash to stuck at it at this moment. This is because the IR will only operate partially in early 2010. Buyingin the stock around Sep 2009 is much feasible, for long term investment.

                    I am a new player in stocks however no stocks will be spared when there is a down turn.... I am a technical trained guy and the low will get lower when it breaks it own support.. it's inevitable fact that this will happen.......

                    but if a company with really strong fundmental like BIG which got CE mark and will be getting profit in mid 09... this stock will be the one to recover first rather than those are weaker or less favourable stocks....

                    So...... this is wat i can give u advice on...... Buy in low and sell on  high,,,.. But how high  how low.. is still up to u to decide...
