DBSV said it has raised its target price to $0.26 from $0.17 on expectations of strong earnings from this year onwards generated by its acquisitions and biomass business.

"(This year's) earnings growth is expected to be driven by contributions from the 51 pct acquisition of Yima and its 23% ownership of AMIGOS," DBSV analyst Weng Soon Tan said in a note.

DBSV was referring to Yima Jinjiang Energy Comprehensive Utilization Co, which owns and operates a 270 MW coal-fired power plant in China. China Enersave agreed to buy a 51% stake in Yima last June 16 for US$45m.

Meanwhile, AMIGOS refers to Amanda Maintenance, Industrial, General & Offshore Services Co Ltd, a unit of Amanda Industries Pte Ltd (AIPL) in which China Enersave has a 23% stake.

DBSV maintains a "buy" recommendation on the firm, saying it is bullish on the company's transformation into a focused power supply player, with its biomass plants coming on stream in 2008.

"Industry prospects remain bright for biomass projects given government incentives such as premium tariff rates, stable demand from power grids, as well as loan and tax incentives," Weng said.

My TP px i am looking at is somewhere around $0.22c. This WTE stock is sort of generating new profit from newly required 51% Yima  plant and from consideration net profit of Amada Industries P/L and it subsidairy "AMIGOS" for financial year ending 31 Dec 2006 shall estimated not be less than US$4.9 million.

It plans to build a total of 20 biomass power plants in China by the end of 2010. It now has three 24MW biomass power plants under construction in China with the first plant commencing operations in 2008.

"By 2010 we should have at least 20 biomass plants in total. That is our plan," EnerSave's CEO Simon Koo told Reuters in an interview.

Biomass -- organic material like wood, crop residue and agriculture waste -- can be used to fire a boiler that produces high-pressure steam for a turbine to produce electricity. Each of the three plants has cost EnerSave around US$30m, with about 60% of the funding provided by Chinese bank loans and the rest raised through equity placements.

Koo said the company would use the same funding method for the rest of the planned power plants. It has already signed 10 preliminary agreements with China's provincial authorities for such plants.

Koo said each plant would have an average life span of 30 years and would yield a margin -- net of depreciation and interest payments -- of 25%

EnerSave, originally an engineering services firm, ventured into China in 2003 to set up a waste-to-energy plant, which uses non-organic material as fuel, in Guangdong province. The plant will start test runs later this month and commercial operations before the end of 2006.

MasterT53, u r very good got in at 0.16 sitting on huge profit!. I went in late after reading all the write ups and got carried away by the strong wind. Still below water. Many china related ones have pe above 10 times but this one yet to be upgraded. Small vested not making a dent in my pocket. Looks like it is its turn today. Again chartwise, need to break 0.205 strongly for the pe to stay ard with others. Relax la, this wife is steady.
