BOT project is a long term investment and it is very likely that the big chunk of the resources will be used for the building cost, then comes the second phase where it has to do the operation with no guarantee of making money and finally transfer the whole thing to the authority or someone else.
Is it a good company to invest for long or short term?

The gross proceeds from the issue of the Convertible Bonds is RMB680,000,000 (or approximately US$100,000,000) (assuming no exercise of the Upsize Option). The Company proposes to use the proceeds primarily for expansion of production capacity, working capital and general corporate purposes. The Company intends to allocate the net proceeds in the following manner: (a) approximately 60 per cent. for investing in prospective build, operate and transfer (“BOT”) projects and water and wastewater treatment projects in other investment project formats and the acquisition of BOT projects with attractive return profiles from local enterprises and municipal governments; (b) approximately 10 per cent. for the repayment of certain existing bank borrowings; (c) approximately 5 per cent. for research and development; and (d) approximately 25 per cent. for working capital and other general corporate purposes. i guess 60% on prospective projects and acquisition is quite a lot.

Did the report say the new project will give a material impact to Q3 report?
What is the reason to raise capital through the bond market? Clean up debt or for this new project expenditure?
Any view for sharing? |

Sound Global has cash and bank balance about RMB1356978000 why still need to issue bond to operate his business?

I dont think shorting is possible now. I dont see it going down any further or breaking the 0.7. So my only choice is to average it down. Since the company had been awarded one of the biggest waste water project. The potential of going up for Q3 is pretty up. Please correct me if i am wrong. |

i dont buy a lot of volumes (i am just a small time player) So yes i can hold. I just got 0.71.. and i was holding at 0.79.. so now an average of 0.75. Which i think is pretty ok

avg dw on good stocks still works.. simple eg: if u bot noble b4 crisis at $2. U avg dw let say 2 time, at $1 and 50cts - same number of lot. ur avg will be 1.16 overall when stock recover you still earn back profit.
but it depend on whether you got capital to hold anot...

avg dw on good stocks still works.. simple eg: if u bot noble b4 crisis at $2. U avg dw let say 2 time, at $1 and 50cts - same number of lot. ur avg will be 1.16 overall when stock recover you still earn back profit.
but it depend on whether you got capital to hold anot...

Usually this is the normall reaction when coy issuing convertiable bonds. Bec of possible dilution when exercise. But I assume this is inline with the agreement to take up the large project announced earlier week. As long it dun break 70cts.. it will be okie..

Normally one company issue bond or right the share price will drop.
