Livermore Ah Chek... :)

Hope you don't take anything personally in all exchange of views here...

Just regard all exchanges as being beneficial especially to the many stock

newbies who are here to learn the ropes...

And I think you have taught them quite a lot of beneficial things already...

I for one appreciate you r viewpoints too...

hehehe... SmileySmiley

I agree with you on selling at below your support as a defence against loss.

But I find it senseless to ride from 2.80 to 3.50 (or higher) without at least a trailing stop...

Let's say you spend 1 year waiting for the stock to climb to 4.00

and then from there it falls back to below 2.80 (perhaps only hypothetic from your p.o.v)...

Don't you think you have lost out, not only in terms of cash, but also the time...

I will definitely consider such action (or in this example, non action) irresponsible, to put it bluntest... Smiley

Ipunter, do you read and understand clearly what I write? I write in very clear and simple terms. I said if you bought at $2.80 and sold at $3.53 when market crashed. you would still make money. Please refer to Keppeland chart at around $2.80. During that time the stock was sideways for some time. On my chart it broke through a tight squeeze at $2.82. If you use resistance then $2.88 was also broken. The best way to sell is when stock breaks through the support. You may not sell at the highest price but it won't be far off. This is much better than selling too early and see the stock going up and up.

After breaking support and the stock resumes its uptrend, you buy back but you need to see the chart carefully. Right now I would say don't just look at your individual stock chart as the Dow still leads the way. Use both your stock and Dow as reference to confirm resumption of uptrend.

Livermore Chek-chek,

How can there be no loss when the price has dropped from 3.80 to 3.50?

There is clearly a loss .30c because the opportunity was not grabbed!

Notwithstanding the desirable virtue  'Ah Q jing Shen', the loss is real, not just on paper... Smiley

okok...sorry sorry.

so each must bear in mind, own time own target.

buy or sell, also own time own target ohh.

caveat emptor.

but for me, i am just refering my chart as reference for the entry price.

well, for those who hold this babe, well 3.25 is a small support. well, it may hold. but break 3.25, we may see 2.80.

sell or hold.

decide yourself :)

good luck!

I never seen past history chart. Why are you referring to past history? Break support, sell. If you read my previous posts, I never once said one should hold in a downtrend. Whether this is start of a downtrend or mere correction is hard to tell. Rememeber I was telling about my friend who bought during market low and he never traded so much and just bought and hold. He is good. He sold off everything when STI was around 3000. Did he go "'pok" by holding and following the major trend?

and so i also miss this "crash"

so many times, i always ask myself.

it seem good to be a slow stock picker and always "miss the boat"?

Like i said, in stock market 90% of people lose money.

well so far, i got many friend who play stock.

and so far, i only heard one person make money. That is my sifu.

although he also same like me, always "miss the boat" . but so far, he able to earn at least 100% per year in forex and stock market.

and never lose before over these few year. so i just stick to what he teach me.

dun want lose money in stock considered very good liao...

so that is why, what i learnt  is TIMING is very important.

well, definitely those who buy when STI 2900 or 3000 is very high risk.

and just ask urself. how long u can hold?

well, i think it is fine to buy at current price 3.50...but provided u dun need to hold 10 years or 15 years?

if those who bought at 2007 , highest price. now they still incurring huge losses.

so, can u tell me? they also have a mindset, dun "miss the boat " before 2007 crash. so now?

well, u know when their price will comes back to their buying price again?

if u want to buy this baby, first enter price is 3.25 +-

hope 3.25+- can hold.

but  during such a volatile market, i think we may see 2.70?

possible?

but anyway 2.70 is always better than 3.25...
