Fact is this warrant thingy is not going to affect the fundamentals or the growth of hankore in the long term period.

But I thot the annoucement is about them converting from warrant to shares..why are you all so sure they will cash out ? Yes the risk is there but so what? They might keep for the long term too now that HK is on high growth mode. even if this guy sells it's just 30000 lot.

leeeta, I started buying back and will continue and hence I'm vested again and hence will want to see Hankore ultimately rises again. However, there is indeed some risk of this warrant holder selling to cash in spread of current 6.4c to the conversion price of 4c. If they have no intention to sell and expecting to unload Hankore at higher price in future, they may well better off just holding onto the warrant if it is not expiring soon. In that case, they can just keep the option to exercise the warrant until it is time to sell instead of converting the warrant now which will require them to cough out more cash for ultimately the same outcome.

Do you know how and why they got the warrants? If you know, then you will know that they may not sell unless they have urgent need of cash...otherwise why sell when they can unload HK at better prices in the future. You guys are just nonsense.

Sure..there is much panic now. ..but these warrant holders are not you. They might take a long position and cash out later...so don't let irrational behavior cloud your good judgement

OMG...what uncanny timing seeking to convert 30mio warrants to 0.04c shares....wny now, when there is penny blood-bath going on in SGX and so many trading curbs......lucky me did not touch it at 0.064 ( was almost hitting the buy button...but retraced seeing big queue at 0.045c in " mkt-depth" screen )

Lucky03 of all people , I thought you have a very good history and background of hankore, the problems they face with those Cb holders during bio treat days who got the warrants...and what potential loses they would have incurred if not for the warrants. Now they hv a chance to stay back in the game..and you suggesting they are letting go at 4 cts? Wow.

Lucky03      ( Date: 30-Oct-2013 21:22) Posted:

Issued and alloted on Oct 28 should mean they have the shares in their account and hence should be able to sell.

Don't anyhow speculate. Does not mean that those who got the haircut will sell with the conversion. These are the ones who caught bio treat high..

1 Nov sounds to me like the T+3 thing when the shares status will be reflected as 'available'. Technically, should be ok to sell but unlike contra where the buy and sell are via same account of same broker, guess the warrant holder just have to be sure that they shares status will be 'free' when it is time for delivery so 1 Nov should be fine ... ?

No idea how the exchange works but I know that current market sentiments mean that a 30 million selldown will trigger further selldowns by retailers or other BBs. Gonna watch closely during the next few days.

The said bondholder who have exercised to convert their allotment at 0.04 may put some pressure on the price if they sell to the market. I believe this will be a phase necessary to flush out such short term bond holders.

Not really.. If the b-a-l saga did not occur..do you think you will have such opportunity to buy at this price? Maybe yes but the percentage of it happening is very low.
