Just collected the dividend yesterday...
Slowly inching up. A couple of weeks ago, SPH=SPC=F&N, now it is lowest.
This counter hardly moves, even there are few good analysts' report.
I still think SPH is on a downtrend now.... be cautious
16:10 | STOCK ALERT - Singapore Press higher as Nov ad revenue shows improving outlook |
Hope that divestment of 13% stake in M-1 which is worth about S$300m come next year, easily get 20-30 cents per share
SPH has a near monopoly on media in Singapore. Its a sure win!
SPH : Firm AdEx Numbers for 1Q07
(BUY S$4.16; SPH SP) TP: S$ 4.78
Ø Story: AC Nielsen's latest AdEx figures show that SPH's newspaper
display ad revenues for November grew by 9.9% yoy. For the first three
months of SPH's FY (Aug-Nov), display ads were up by 6.1% yoy, registering
the strongest growth in recent years.
Ø Point: These robust numbers reinforce our positive view on SPH's
outlook and we believe that the Group is in a strong position to reverse
years of declining operating earnings from its publishing business to post
>5% EBIT growth in FY07.
Ø Relevance: We maintain our BUY recommendation and S$4.78 target
price, which is based on our sum-of-the-parts valuation for SPH. It is
currently trading on an attractive yield of more than 6.5%. A key catalyst
for rerating would be the launch of its Times Development Site, targeted in
the 1H of 2007.

Let's hope 515 really happen... Anyway we will be getting dividend $0.17 this coming monday
Yeap. It should be supported at the current level...
look like that's the price now after XD. Not much up side for the moment.
may go to lower to 4.12 first on Mon. before any further action...
agreed.
XD time, so the reduction in price still ok.
Not to worry... I feel that SPH is still on an uptrend from TA charts
SPH is unlikely to move-up to $4.50 by year end (to fast), because STI is currently at a very high level and there isn't any interesting news from SPH. However, I would still keep it for long term (maybe 5 yrs).
Comments pls ?
Really drop 17, man!
But, Im still positive. Let's see it go to 4.5 year end
Yes,
xd today
because of dividend payout?
what happen to our dear SPH? 4.16.... hmm... christmas is coming, Paragon can earn more gua...
