Let's see what happens at 4am. I'm expecting pretty huge gyrations in the DJIA today. Expecting some kind of ranging to happen though. The market's gotta sort out and weigh if .75% cut is worth being bullish about.

Expect to see quite a bit of confusion tomorrow in the STI - Shortists closing positions; longs holding losses trying to exit; T + 4 players looking to zao; hedge funds coming in again or sell on news (since STI chionged back up from 2786 to 2866).

Remain nimble.

Refresh using F5 key.

I sure hope it's a bad start with a good ending. Can't expect US not to even go down less than 3% when the rest of the world indices already plunged almost 10%. India even had to halt trading as it almost approached the 15% drop limit (today it oscillated between 3% to 13%).

Rationality should return soon. Certainly, this is not end of the world yet. If it is, then it does not matters whether the market is up or down anyway. So why panic irrationally?

Temporary measures. It will boost the market for a while. Structural defects and problems not resolve. Bush $150 billion package too small to have impact on economy.

This does not resolve the credit crunch that will come shortly from the sub-prime. A lot of people will be unable to repay the mortgage and default on payments. More write down possible from the financial institutions.

The lowering of rate will drag the US dollars down further. Bad man.

Futures down from -300 to -400 to -500 plus

Basically bad

Soros said this is a serious financial crisis , not just a sell off

I think it takes a month before things settle down and drift slowly then

Keep away for the moment is better

For those already in, just keep cool

When financial crisis happened in Asia, IMF came and rescue.

When subprime crisis happened in US, where is IMF? They also got deep shit in subprime crisis? No more fund to rescue their problem kid?
