Ideally, one should buy low low during a crash and then prepare to hold long long...

Then one may not need to hold very long (who wants to hold long?)... :)

Just hold your investmenst for the long term. It is never easy trying to time the market. You end up "feeling lost" when you "miss the boat" after you sell off in trying to anticipate a correction.

Currently the China Mainland 2 markets reached another historical high after set-back of end of Feb. Another severe correction is in near future yet the long term trend is still upwards. We all saw the repercussion it had done to world market. I see it as a major inherent risk to current hike of local market.

DOW closed above 12600. Mostly like is going to test 12800 again.

Asia market will remain bullish as the economies are still sound and good. STI likely to trend upward further.

I forgot to mention one good point about a margin account. You don't need to sell off your shares and any time you need cash you can just wthdraw money from your margin account. It is juts like a bank account to me. On the other hand with the normal transcripts, you need to sell off your shares to get the cash back.

STI may well rise again on Monday given the positivity on the DOW.

donjuan4one, Warrants are very volatile. They may seem cheap, but price fluctations can be fast/big. If you are not monitoring them closely, losses can be quite large. Also, you can't hold warrants "forever" as they have an expiry date, in your case STI3450CW is 29 May 07. Afterwhich, it could end up worthless.... do be careful, my friend.

I also agree with red1721. If you are new, best that you 'invest some time" to read up to have a better understanding of stocks/shares and trading.

Cheers!

Notice that some shares have gone above the price they were just before the first market crash. If one had held stocks for long term, the rewards woukd have been great. When STI was 3000, some were calling for a sell but STI went up further. Sometimes you buy sell buy sell, you end a bit lost when you "miss the boat" and in the end you find yourself buying share price at a higher price after you sold off in anticipation of a correction.

Of you end up not knowing whether to enter the market now or wait for that correction you would have been waiting for

donjuan4one, 1st of all, if you are really new to this...you shouldnt be asking someone like me whom you dont even see or know before in realife for any investment feedback or suggestions. 2nd, you shouldnt be investing in warrants if you are not familiar with it. 3rd, try read through more about investing in stocks before you even invest. I think thats the best advise I can give you, as for suggestions on how your warrant will turn out to be...I really got no idea, I'm not god.

The up trend is solidly intact and the index is sitting comfortably above 20 days EMA. Looking further it is way above the 50 and 200 EMAs.

Thus should be quite safe to hold, but there is always this heavenly factor which we human cannot predict.

Peace

Dear donjuan4one,

If you can hold for another week or two, please hold on to your STI3450SGAeCW070529 as it is very probable that it will become "in-the-money".  As suggested by analyst, its likely to head for 3600 and then !!!

Good Luck.

Hi red1721 and guys,

Im new to this and have been badly burnt buying warrants trying to do some day trading.

Holding  on to STI 3450SGAeCW070529 now and it i sell now, will lose $$$ big time. So i am thinking of holding on till it gets up abit.... hopefully up to 0.32.. or more.  What are the chances  for it to go up early next week? I know  we cant predict the market, but just want to see what might be some analysis be.

Appreciate any feedback or suggestions. Thanks guys!
