hi august, at least you had exited, meaning you can stop loss anytime with no feelings attached to any shares. No everyone can do just that, and I one of them. Sometimes too much "loves" for a counter not very healthy leh. Anyway, higher & higher oso need to take a "rest/breather" so that it can go even higher/lower. Don't think of the past (like if I don't sell my holdings I will be earning this X amt, and blah blah blah) but look forward to the future and come up with a strategy now.

August, nothing to be depressed about.  Money in the pocket is prudent.  You're just being cautious like a lot of other people.  Keep your stop losses tight currently and do not over extend during this period.  :)

am feeling kinda depress now... exit most of my heavy weights becoz I just felt that a correction is coming - only to see it surge higher and higher and not being part of the winning game.

Am a feeling restless. Anybody out there has the same sentiments ? Tired.

Dow is up.  But the positive flow of money is not looking too good.  I have a bad feeling about this.

Good to see that the top 20 for today consists of singtel, chartered, china sky and blah blah blah, and not all penny counters.. Rotational play is in sight as least for now.

STI tommorow should recover from the small correction on Friday!

I believe the many who held a strong conviction of the 'May Effect' ('sell in May' thinking) have already largely sold out, if not all...

So perhaps it's time for some 'Cheong-Ahh!' action again...

whereupon a lot of 'chasing' will take place.

Just a possibility... :)

Trading volumes are low today. Nothing much to worry about for this correction.

Asia's stock markets have continued to tee up record highs in May, aided by fund inflows and a spurt of merger and acquisition activity, though a short-term correction is likely as soon as Friday.

iPunter may be right. Infact, Dow has been moving up for the past few days. It's not alarming for some correction to take place now.

Furthermore, when Dow is heading north strongly for the past few days, STI seems not to follow it's momentum.

Incidentally, this fall could have been triggered by today's quarter moon phase too...

It happened before.

If one takes a look at the 3-month Dow chart, it still looks good though...

One cannot rule out the possibility of rotational play by the funds.

ie. sell Dow and buy STI, etc...

which makes does make sense when the economic fundamentals are still unchanged....
