I bought Tiong Woon 20 lot at 61.5 cents in Jan 2004. Its price drop to 20+ cents in 2005, I keep till today. now the price is nearly 90cents. my principle is dont care about any paper loss, patient + good FA stock = gain my other experience show that, i am ' short earn' alot because of impatient. |
Hi awchyeong,
did u average up when it climb up from the bottom?
Just my persional view:
This week is start of the Pennies, the last stage towards a mini correction, in this long term bull run. buy pennies but trade with care as pennies drop the hardest.
DJI, tml should tell the clearest view what is going to happen soon.
SSEC, correction should be not completed yet although of yest rebound. the mutual fund investors have not reenter yet.
STI, since money leaving china, either it goes to HSI or some place.. could it be STI?
All i know is that there will be thousands of China ppl commit sucide soon. pension holders losing life savings and wife leaving husbands. and also more FT in geylang soon..

"By its very nature, the shift from up to down in an all-the-same-markets scenario is a big turn. ... As we noted in October, "the turn is taking more of a saw tooth form" in which some markets turn ahead of the pack." - Elliott Wave Financial Forecast, June 2007 At EWI, we call 'em like we see 'em, and mounting evidence reminds us every day that the longer and higher the markets go up, the more sure we can be that they will eventually reverse at an equally manic degree. The greater a mania grows, the more devastating it's aftermath. So why is irrational behavior continuing to fuel this market? You see, the very definition of a mania is "excessive or unreasonable enthusiasm." A mania depends on the inability of its participants to recognize their irrational state. So as gauges for investor optimism hover around 90%, the markets increasingly ignore all rational indicators that point to danger ahead ? and in the case of the U.S. markets, there are many. In this issue of The Elliott Wave Financial Forecast, you'll learn that Chinese investors wear red clothes because they are "representative of a hot market" and eat beef to help sustain the "bull" run. There are telltale signs of financial mania, and superstitious amateur investors are unmistakable classics. |

2 gaps spotted on STI daily chart - gap 1 is from 3511 to 3547 and gap 2 is from 3548 to 3571. In addition, the 20EMA support for STI is quite far away at 3508 and we are at near term resistance marked by upper trend channel of the rising wedge.
Course of action today for me was to enter STI PW based on the above analysis. From my past few times trading STI PW, STI is known to cover back its gap within a few days. So I expect a small dip tomorrow morning....
Just my 2 cents of views...
Pls comment on it.... whether u agree or not. Thanks !!

as long as there's a loss, it's a loss, a real loss...
Oops sorry IPunter, I am still recovering from cough.*hehe*
True that a paper loss is still a loss unless there is a sudden change. But surely you folks have bought and kept stocks for say, > 1 month?
