Yesterday's dip was too much too hard in my view. Today's recovery was strong and backed with good volumes.

Looking at today's market conditions from the perspective of yesterday's experience is, what I would say, wisdom at it's best...

It is like what they say, having eaten much good salt.

But to to be overwhelmingly influenced by history of the past...
is also not allowing for the possibility of things to be different this time round.... Smiley

A significant drop of the STI on a volume of 9.1 billion shares is a sign of weakness.

Only a first shot across the bow.

Hold on your money, the margin force selling is still on the way, especially for those penny and mid-cap stock. Will see further price drop.

US market indeed will drop soon because of the deeper trouble for mortgage.

Big investor cash is flowing out of Singapore recently, up-side support is not strong. Market will react aggressively again if any bad or unflavored news.

Be cautious. Buy fast, sell even faster!

The announcement of development charge rates revision from the current 50 percent of the appreciation in land value to 70 percent cause some sell down of property stock in the early afternoon.

This selling spread to other counters.  Things turn ugly when SGX and Securities Internet trading system server were not able to cope.

Panic selling started when traders were unable to get through to their brokers. Even if they manage to get through, trades were not able to be execute and confirm.

In the history of trading, this may be a laughing stock.... Panic selling due to unknown reasons. When people start selling....Everybody start selling!!!!!!

Stocks are oversold.  There will be bargain hunting when trading starts.

My view is that yesterday's correction is going to be more severe than previous....perhaps post election severity in May 06. Just look at vol (9.3 bil) and value ($4.3bil) done yesterday.

The Govt is not done with its property curb measures....think there is more to come.

Also, Dow does not look too robust as the sub prime problem still exists.

Hope I am wrong though.
