What crazy times we live in.... the STI index can swing up and down in 3 digit numbers within week. That's really scary. Too volatile for me. I'm exiting most of my counters now.

Foreign funds could be pouring into emerging markets. Singapore could be one of the beneficiaries. PE of STI is becoming cheaper due to bulk of companies making better profits. Hedge funds losing money? Very strange isnt it as they are supposed to be market neutral. Asian financial crisis has already prepared Asian economies about foreign funds coming and inflating asset prices. This time round, foreign funds are coming to appreciate asset prices . Asian currencies are appreciating and US$ is losing its shine. Would u park yr funds in an appreciating currency? Let' see in the coming weeks if i am right. Cheers!Smiley

Credit is injected as a contingency from any fallout in the US Subprime Mortgage. Read deeper into it, banks may be badly affected. Hedge funds, Insurance....

Well, the indicators are there for over a year, SUbPrime Mortgage in US. Sentiments have changed since the fallout from SubPrime Mortgage and the effect is still not fully felt yet.

On the home front, it may crash thru the support level. The STI target range from 2800-3100.  Read the article below. Thread cautiously, http://news.asiaone.com/News/AsiaOne%2BNews/Asia/Story/A1Story20070810-21472.html

If there is no credit crunch why are central banks injecting liquidity.

Mas also injecting money -I thought they had no problem  a week ago or 2 days ago.

When USA injects liquidity where does the money come from as it already has such a humongous deficit-print more money?

We will soon see if the house of printed money, derivatives, mortgage loans will break down .

Skeletons are coming out of the bank vaults due to evaporation of credit.

C wave on the way.

The structural defects in the financial system due to pradatory lending is going to take a few months to repair. This is a melt down in all asset classes including gold as hedge funds go belly up due to credit crunch. The distribution of risks through derivatives has the opposite effect.

If a fund is frozen that means your money is a prisoner.

Only managed to catch Kep Corp, OCBC & SembMarine. The others have not fallen to my target price to re-enter. Investors have probably learned their lesson not to anyhow dump at the first sign of trouble but to look at fundamentals of companies.

Let's hope for more panic sellers and forced selling this afternoon.

Wow! Hell really breaks loose this time. Big Bear is roaming the street in full force. Every body trying to rush out of this hungry ghost realm and some even get stampeded and squeezed at the gate.

How pathetic?. hope no tragic stories again..

Me holding my kantangs more tightly.

May all be well?

Why people never learn not to sell stocks to me cheap? I have been buying when others are panickly selling and selling when others go back in again like last Fri. Today I can pick up cheap stocks with good fundamentals again!

A few minutes ago the newswire repoted that the Fed pumped 20 billion dollars into the banking system this morning.Fed starting to panic?

Expect high volatility today on the downside.
