Sorry but I think you are right.

Healtway Chinese hospitals ? Most of the Chinese still see TCM practitioners. Even if they see modern medicine doctors, as some of the more priviledged ones do, will they go to a Singapore owned one ? Sorry, do not mean to unpatriotic but really are  Singapore doctors that much respected in China ? Didn't we read that our own  leaders  went for treatment by  Chinese specialists when battling cancers and other such serious ailments  ? Long way to go I'm afraid.

Guava30 has made a very valid observation regarding the deceptive Mode of operation for Healthway. Yes many original pioneer doctors have gone after fullfilling their obligation  left the gp . Patient also gone togehter with the doctor. Remember outpatient kind of clinic operation generate little profit, the flu will have negligible positive effect on earning. The big money come from running  Hospital. Lets see their Quarter reporting to see if I am wrong.

Easy. They spend a lot of money buying out specialist and than paying them big salaries to keep them on board for the first few years. But from last reports, we can see the impact already. Profit dropped and many of the specialist doctors have already left and started their own practices.

Remember that it is easy to buy over a practice but hard to keep the patients. The  patients follow the doctors they trust, not the board members of Healthway....

just wait for the results to show... how can they not make money with so many patients these days )

Lol, need lots of Vitamins for this counter.

Volume so weak. Price range bound 0.15 to 0.16, yet threatening to go lower.

ermmmm nope not two years. maybe half a year or a little more. peter lim bought into healthway last june. people jumped in n buy. den late last year he sold to buy thomson med. so the people who jumped in due to him sold also. so all in all should be around half a year of ding donging at this price.

One thing for sure..I am unhappy with the way they did nothing for two consec reports to increase their bottomline. Expansion wised im okie with it. But they need to wake up n start pushing their top dogs. I realised that they have alot of clincs around singapore but their operation hours are not full day. most to most some open for less den 4 hours. HOW TO MAKE MONEY?

This counter is strange one.   Has been trading within 15 to 16 cents for very long,... think almost 2 years? Have touched it sometimes back.   Mostly half cent profit for me.   Luckily I never greedy else can also lose half to one cent.

I also feel that with the cooling measures for property. Some money will be flowing back into shares. The article from Peter Lim seem positive. am not srue will it trigger Healthway to move northwards. Looking at its pricing now, i think unlikely as it closed at 0.155 cents yesterday.

was happy to read peter lim's article in friday's straits times on his plans for his healthcare business. very positive outlook for sg market and the region for growth. waiting for some good news from healthway. healthway needs a shot of espresso to get the heart pumping.

also been reading about the new property bubble bursting initiatives from the sg govt. i m quietly rubbing my hands for some hot money flowing into the sg stock market....i am guessing some of those hot money will be diverted from property investment to equities. i m staying invested :)
