This is one really good stock to demonstrate to us that even in a very strong bull market, a stock can be trending down.

In this case, holding-type investors would have been holding from 6.00 till today, and to all appearances, the downtrend is showing no signs of ending.

yeah that true, take example in 2004 euro is experiencing an extreme hot summer then it follow by extreme long cold winter with thick snow fall around Feb 2005.

All we can said is, global warming effect does disturb the pattern of the season change.

that's rather sad... and with the Artic fast disappearing and all that...  soon there'll be no winter to look forward to, only colder months.

Traditionally countries in Scandivania Europe would have entered deep winter by now. It would normally start snowing by the 1st week of Nov. Latest by mid Nov (fr experience having lived there for 4 years). Just met a friend who visited Sgp from Stockholm, and received an email from another friend from Helsinki. Coincidentally both lamented that it has been a 'hot' winter so far. They both attributed the 'hot' winter to a sick 'mother earth'.

So they are not sure if the cold front would ever arrive this year. It's already mid December!

This may be true...

Don't ever "believe" anything about the market... let the market decide what you should "believe".

But if you don't believe the market, it can once in a while show you some "miracles"...

Yup. Thats what my friend said $40 per barrel is more than enough for a healthy profit margin.

I was asking him about whether I should be concerned about the current oversupply of crude oil in the mkt now.

He said while that it may be true, but there is shortage of refined oil or other processed oil products

It is a valid point. High persistent energy cost will lead to inflation and higher interest rate, and brings about a collapse of the stock markets. Ever talked to someone in oil business, though his co. will make more money when the oil price is higher, he prefers to see a sustainable lower oil prices. According to him, $40 a barrel is good enough to keep their busy going and profitable.

I have this feeling that the rise of oil-related shares will bring down the overall whole mkt. I see that coming in late Jan 07

Agree! Oil prices will surely rise with time as oil exploration becomes more and more difficult.
